Like Glass - Ejiro O. Osime

    At first sight

    A thousand hopes

    all hidden

    within a thousand dreams.

I see them in your smile

    and wish they would

    come unhinged

    and float unbidden

    into my reality.

into sculptures of marble and gold

    another treasure

    to go un-treasured.

What happens to heartache and joy

    Anger and guilt

    after that moment

    when we feel them deepest?

    Are they simply gone

    or are they out there

    somewhere

    lying in wait.

Do they turn into something beautiful

    stored up?

    Displayed?

    or locked away?

    Where does the past go?

    Remember Me

    Remember me as loving

    remember me as nice.

    Remember me as cunning

remember all my virtues as farce.

    If tonight I go to
