Through the journey of our lives, we have amazing good things that happen to us. We also come across difficult situations along with the simple things that we do in our daily lives. Through our journey, we need to be inspired to strengthen our ability to carry on and do good things with our lives. We also need to be comforted when we are hurting and heartbroken to restore our dignity.

Shima L. Hlongwane

She started writing in 2005 after losing her brother who was also her best friend. Grief became unbearable as she was struggling to overcome the misery. She found the comfort she needed in writing poems, and from thereafter, she was inspired by what she has written and that has motivated her to do more. Although she was enjoying poetry at school, she never dreamt of taking it as a career, but being sad and lonely changed her path in a good way. She also writes short stories and children’s novels.
