Through the Journey of Life: Inspiring and Comforting Words in Poetry
()
About this ebook
Shima L. Hlongwane
She started writing in 2005 after losing her brother who was also her best friend. Grief became unbearable as she was struggling to overcome the misery. She found the comfort she needed in writing poems, and from thereafter, she was inspired by what she has written and that has motivated her to do more. Although she was enjoying poetry at school, she never dreamt of taking it as a career, but being sad and lonely changed her path in a good way. She also writes short stories and children’s novels.

About the Author
Thank You
To those who raised me,
Who have made me to be the person I have become,
You have made me take a step up
And when I step back you pulled me forth,
You have made me grow to be who I am,
In a world of schemes and disappointments
You have raised me like a fawn
And saved me from the teeth of the carnivores,
And today I am a grown deer
And I can protect myself with my own antlers,
I am very grateful,
So I thank you!
To those who have helped me along the way,
And gave me a lift when I was stranded,
