Foreword

In today’s world, the institution of marriage has suffered much at the hands of humanity. Our world has changed and evolved so much that one cannot just define what marriage is without raising so much controversy.

It is a blessing to know that God, the sovereign one, the creator of all things instituted marriage. He was not confused when he set up the institution of marriage; neither should we be confused as to what marriage is and what it is not. His word, being the very manual for living his kind of life distinctly defines to us what marriage is and how he expects us to perceive and practice that art. Only through the word of God can we perceive and understand the concept of marriage.

The enemy our adversary is out to destroy the institution of marriage by causing perverse and debased minds to interpret and say what it is and what it is not.

Marriage was instituted in the Garden of Eden. God established this blessed union between male and female. It was not supposed to be a contract it was supposed to be a covenant, an ever binding covenant never to be broken, God being part of it. It is supposed to be held as a sacred, divine covenant between a man and woman and God.

Why are our marriages facing problems both in the circular world and the Christian world? What has gone wrong in our world, how is it so hard to find long lasting marriages now. I beg to differ but may submit to all, that we have departed from following the very blue print of this institution; from going to its creator and originator to ask about how to make it work.

Brothers and Sisters, like the manual given by the manufacturers of a car to the buyer so he or she would know how every part of it operates, So should we go to our manual (the Bible) on marriage given to us by its originator and designer God, so we can portray from his perspective how it ought to be. In so doing we will reap the benefits of such a great institution.

I submit to you not so much in enticing words but simply with a stuttering tongue
