Precious Moments We Shared in Time

About this ebook
Gave me such and extraordinary out look
on how we view our life, without given any
thought of how things could impact our lives.
I truly believe we still think things will always
stay the same. Then suddenly our lives seem
to have moved in a different direction. The
loss, love and loneliness all come rushing
in, and life we once knew has become that
stranger in the dark.
Cynthia Weathers
My name is Cynthia Weathers, born in Germanville, in the county of Charleston, South Carolina. I attended Santee Elementary and Lincoln High School then graduated from Lincoln High School on May 28, 1968 and then moved to Brooklyn, New York, right after. Then fourteen years later, I married my childhood sweetheart Larry D. Geathers. The two of us attended the same high school. The loss of Larry brought me closer to my writing. I had needed the inner strength that had been locked up inside of me. My parents had created this mold of me that, in this life or any other lifetime, could not be created again. My fi rst book, The Hopes and Dreams for Many Tomorrow, has inspired me to continue on. Through love, loss, deaths, and illnesses, these poems have captured my ability to create a little joy, peace of mind, and excitement. The heart has proven once again that it could withstand the entire storm that may come its way.

Dedication
To Louis and Florence Collington, what can I say about the two people that steered me in the direction that has enabled me to go on with my life? They taught me how to walk and talk until I was able to do those things for myself. They taught me not to judge people on what I think but to look deep down within me to understand. Dad and Mom gave me hopes that every day will bring on new dreams.
My father, Frank Snider Jr.—he trusted two people to enter his child’s life to help nurture her while he kept a close watch. I knew it must have been very hard for him deep down within, but he knew what was best. Thank you for having the wisdom to let go.
To my birth mother, Florence Rebecca Weathers-Alston, thank you for letting your uncle and aunt help give me the tool that was needed in order for me to go through this life’s journey.
