BoSweets was born, Bonita Daneen Miree to the proud parents of Walter Warren Jr. and Beverly Ann Carr. She’s the second to the oldest of six children; Born in Philadelphia in 1970. The family moved to Los Angeles, California when she was ten, where she was raised and received her education. During her four years at Cajon High School in San Bernardino California, she was introduced to the arts and developed a passion for poetry. A few years after high school BoSweets moved to Cincinnati Ohio and began working in the healthcare industry caring for the elderly and sick. Tapping into another passion of hers BoSweets taught and counseled at risk teens in a supported living and foster care setting, identifying areas of need and helping them to become self sufficient and overcome barriers. During this time she became exposed to real life situations and experiences and observed life on its edge. BoSweets has been a feature Poet at Café Cin-Cin in Cincinnati, Ohio and Java House in Louisville, Kentucky. She has also shared her poetry on 88.3 fm a community radio station in Cincinnati and an article written about her Poetry in the Cincinnati Post. BoSweets is excited to share this journey of life & love and look forward to reaching the hearts of many.
