In this jet age, people are closer to their computers, iPods, and iPhones than to God, their creator. In the Old Testament, God put in place prophets to guide His people; and under the covenant of grace, the Holy Spirit educates and teaches all things. Rather than seek help through the Holy Spirit, people are moving farther away from God by wanting to do things in their own way. Earthly wisdom always leads people astray. That is further reason why there is no peace in the world; but the wisdom from God is peaceable, gentle, open to reason, and full of mercy and good.

Deleola Akeredolu

Deleola Akeredolu is the general superintendent of the Sanctuary of Peace Mission and senior pastor of Cease-Fire Tabernacle in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. He was trained as a biochemist, but God called him to be a guide to the house of God. He is deeply committed to leadership developments and the perfection of saints, which he achieves by establishing churches and Bible colleges. He is also involved in poverty alleviation through the Ontario Home for Children and Youth.

When in 2008 the Lord instructed me to write on the window of life, I told Him I knew nothing about the subject. He told me He would give me the ability to write, and He made good His promise, for as the years rolled by, He kept on reminding me of the book by giving me outlines on what to write. In the first year, he gave me two outlines. He kept quiet for some time before He gave me another one like the first; and when I thought He had finished and I sent the book to my publishing outfit, the Lord gave me the last two outlines, saying the words More recipe.

My God is good, and when He commissions a project, He backs it up. The scripture says God works in us to do His will and to do His good pleasure, and we can do all things through Christ who gives us the strength (Phil. 2:13, 4:13).

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. (1 Kings 4:18)

A window is a framed opening in a wall to let in light and for ventilation. Jesus is the light of the world and the air we breathe. Our lives are hid in Christ (Col. 3:3) as long as we abide in Him and His word abides in us. He will shed light on our path and open our eyes so that we can see clearly.

Different people have different definitions of life. Oswald Sanders once said, "The eyes that look are common, the eyes that see are rare." To a natural man, life is enjoyment or whatever one can make of it. A natural man is only capable of seeing the peripherals of life because he cannot receive the things of the spirit. Life is much deeper than the eyes can see. I don’t claim to be a seer, but God reveals secrets to His children for as many as are led by the Spirit of God are sons and daughters of God.

The best way to look at life is through the eyes of the giver of life. He understands the times and the seasons and knows the ending from the beginning.

The garden was a beautiful masterpiece that showed how God intends man to live and enjoy His goodness. Adam and Eve had the best and were living in abundance. The Lord even gave Adam the privilege to name what He created. He was the overseer of the garden; thereby, he was accountable to God for the affairs of the Garden of Eden.
