ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
Special Thanks
To Lillian Higgins and her family, SFC Higgins, David Jr., Ledai and Logan. No matter what I do; they always see the gift that resides inside of me. Thank You! I really believe that God made you for me (Ha, Ha)!
Thank You Jason (my love for 13 years; my husband) for serving our family and your country. Without you taking this mission, this book would have been aborted. Thanks Babe!
- Anna—you keep me going, when I want to give up (The good thorn in my side).
- J’Anthony—your spirit humbles me and makes me think of Jesus.
- Antoneya—you are so caring and giving; when I’m down, you pick me up.
- Zion—you keep me laughing and your knowledge of God tickles me.
- Mack—you have been there through thick and thin. You are very dependable anytime and anywhere.
- Antoinette—Thank you for being whom God made you. I love you always!
- Courtney—Thanks for never giving up on family; you don’t mind giving second chances just like God the father. (Co-Co thanks for everything!)
- Morgan—No matter what ventures I take, you always support me, even if you don’t get paid you work like you are.
- Faith—Thank you very being one of the most responsible teens I know. You manage everything well and have lots of wisdom for your age. (I Love You Girl!!)
- Grandma Tita—Thank you for being my grandbaby
I Love You.
- Pastor and first lady Grier, thank you for your prayers and forgiveness, even when I was in the state of rebellion.
- Davon and Sherri Gray—When I was hungry, you fed me. Thank You.
- Pastor and first lady Williams—thank you for a great foundation; for it has kept me standing all these years.
- Sister Kershell—you saved my life literally, when I thought it had ended. I believe God put you here for me (I can truly say that). I was a lost sheep. I may have died if it wasn’t for your discernment and closeness with the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you for leaving church that Wednesday to come and find me. I thank God for you.
SIMPLY THANKS
To those who helped me when I was down:
I am a yellow ribbon and I was hurting. You guys came along, and helped more than words could ever explain: Omini, Agape Christian Academy, Tony and Shellie, John and Cindy, and Mary Kay (MK) Cosmetics, Lori who offered the MK opportunity, and Carol who helped me complete DIQ.
Simply thanks, is not good enough, but it is all I have. I need to let you all know that my heart is so glad. When I should have been homeless, because I couldn’t pay my rent, Omini, you took time to listen even when I didn’t have a cent. Thanks!
Mrs. Osborne & friend provided food when we had nothing (your help was life to dead bones). When I couldn’t be honest with anyone you were there like a glass of cold water in the desert. You offered encouraging words and your friend (Melody) provided food and personal items when we had nothing. Thanks (I met Mrs. Osborne when my journal was almost completed)!
Agape Christian Academy (Mrs. Morrison), when I couldn’t pay for the kids schooling because of what I was going through (a tough season); you understood and said come work with us and in God; we’ll put our trust. Thanks (Thank you for following your DREAM)!
Agape Kidz—thank you for keeping me laughing; when I lost focus. Special thanks to the sixth grade English class
