Hope Beyond Cancer

About this ebook
I share my experience and give information about the choice I made to follow a Holistic approach after undergoing a bilateral mastectomy with lymph removal. As I regard my body as a temple for my journey on earth, I could not follow the traditional treatment of toxic chemotherapy and radiation.

Dedication
This book I dedicate to my wonderful family for their unselfish love, kindness and support. They have always been available to help me physically and mentally. Their support has encouraged me to face cancer as a challenge. Thank you so much for caring for me with such patience and gentleness.
My dearest friends, you all know who you are. I do not know how to thank you all for your treasured friendship. Each sms or phone call meant so much to me. The gifts which I was given and the lovely flowers certainly encouraged me to fight for another day. I therefore write this book with the faith that by sharing all these personal and very sensitive moments with others who face cancer, or know others who do, I may spread a positive comforting message of HOPE, LOVE and FAITH in GOD.
Thank you so much to my dear friend for her hours of proof reading and encouragement with this book.
Do not panic and give up. Cancer does not have to equal loads of suffering and certain horrible death. Rather accept it as a warning to alter the course you are on. Then do your best to enjoy each day to the fullest. Each day becomes a GIFT.
God Bless!
Introduction
This is an account of my experience when I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC) in June 2013. Inflammatory Breast Cancer is the most aggressive type of Breast Cancer. As a result of me having IBC I had to undergo a bilateral mastectomy with lymph node removal.
Not seeing or knowing about any great success stories of people who have walked the conventional route of toxic chemotherapy or radiation treatment after mastectomy, I refused chemotherapy or radiation treatment.
I chose what I believed to be a less damaging approach. I chose the holistic approach which was to help my body fight the cancer and to help me enjoy the best Quality of life from day to day. My aim was to boost my immune system, take a serious look at my diet and use natural supplements to help my body fight cancer. I make choices with God’s guidance. After all I live in God’s temple. Cancer doesn’t mean we should lose HOPE! Miracles still happen daily. We only need to ask and then hear the messages that are sent to us.
To all who have walked this path and followed the route of chemotherapy or radiation, I wish for you to understand that I am not dictating a method, just living my convictions and religious beliefs. I mean no harm and will never try to influence anybody into a choice of treatment. This is my experience with cancer and I am sharing my opinion and the choices I make to give me the best quality of life, and the best chance of letting my body fight the cancer for me.
Chapter 1
June 2013
The warm rays of the early morning sun shone into the bathroom. These rays painted the bath with inviting yellow, warm bands. As usual on a weekend my bath was me
time! Slowly the corner bath filled and the rays grew stronger. I felt so at peace and ready to recharge my body and mind for the week ahead.
Ceremoniously I chose warm comfortable tracksuit pants and a big floppy jersey. This was surely to be my cover for the day after spending time in my bath. This bath felt like I was climbing back into the safety of my mother’s womb. A little bit of heaven where the next few minutes could carry me beyond today’s rushed world.
Warm water up to my ears! Oh, so special. I felt pity for those who had never experienced this which I was so enjoying. The week ahead was to be another hectic week. The work pressures were pretty tough. We as a family had just
