Unveiled, is a Poetic Portal N2 Life through Love, Lust, Pain and deceit. This anthology of adult poems contours the strengths and weaknesses of relationships. It
distorts what seems real and makes a fantasy pure reality. My expressions are pure and
simple with a twist. These poetic verses take on a life of their own and invite you to
become a part of them. It will intoxicate your mind and free your spirit. It will take you into life, and touch on topics that most would not speak of. It leads you through lustful actions, allowing the flesh to lead; with no communication with the mind. Once the lust burns out it will then lead to pain. The feelings and experiences of pain leave a feeling of agony that cuts through to the bone. After pulling through the painful experiences, you are in a mist of confusion; thus leading you to search for the ultimate feeling. Love has no name, no protocol, no right or wrong way, its just love. Once you have experienced true lust, and real pain, you will understand that; you must live life to the fullest and be happy with your decisions. Love becomes the most dominant feeling and it transforms you, it changes the way you walk, you talk, you dress, it evens changes your way of writing. Layer by layer it all comes off, revealing the most inner thoughts and experiences, I give you, Unveiled!

I dedicate this collaboration of poetic verses to my dear sons, Trenton and Terrell. Through them, God has armed me with my own personal T-n-T! They are my strength and my stability, as well as, my true heroes. With everything that they have been faced with in life, they still find love, strength and the respect to support me in my dreams. I could not have hand picked better young men to call my own. My Darling Sons, Trenton Carlo and Quinton Terrell, this one is for you. Because of you, I am a better me and for that I owe you the breath in which I breathe. We are a dreaming family and now we know for sure, that dreams do come true, if you just believe and put your all into it!

Life has proven to be a journey into the unknown, each day allowing me to experience new things and to learn and grow from those things. I would like to thank those who have stuck with me through my process of overstanding my purpose in life. First, there are my sons Trenton and Terrell; I thank them for being sons that love mind, body, soul, and spirit! They have hurtled over obstacles and blown barriers to shreds. You guys are my heroes, and I am proud to have your love, respect and support. Without you, my dream could not have come true. I Love you dearly! Now Shaun, my friend, my editor and my confidant, thank you. You always took time to read my words and overstand my messages even when they were deeply hidden within the thought. Things happen and situations arise in life that cause you to discover love, lust, and pain, as well as, deceit. Love being endearment, lust being carnality, pain being afflicted and deceit being entangled. Life has its way of making you appreciate what it has given to you, as well as, what it has taken from you. The lessons that are experienced should be treated as jewels. Jewels being life’s lessons are presented in many different ways and most of the time to really overstand their worth you must look at them with a larger eye, a more elevated look with full consciousness. Unveiled is a poetic portal into life through many different openings. These openings will take you deep into the center of carnality, where the flesh is weak and the mind is not present. Carnal actions can feel so good that they give you the façade that they are good, so you allow the flesh to lead. As the flesh tires and loses its ability to withstand the lifestyle that you have chosen, the pain moves in. The pain gives you the feeling of affliction, as if you have somehow been defeated before the fight has even started. The agony builds and you want to run, you try to run from the agony of the pain, but it is within you. The fight cultivates and tirelessly entraps your heart and causes your mind to go into a constant stir. You finally stop stirring to find yourself entangled. You are tied into a place that you don’t want to leave, no matter the cost! You begin to remove all obstacles one by one, as you clear the way you find that the path leads straight to your heart and allowed the terms of endearment a chance to manifest and induce feelings that allow you to become one with yourself, love yourself and open the way for others to be able to give you love. Endearment is where the heart meets the mind in a special place, and they agree to agree on love. How to love, who to love, when to love and when the love is real. Changes will take place and you will begin to examine all of the things you have gone through and realize that there is a bit of a nomad lying within the picture. You look closer to see that the nomad is within you, and it has no destination in mind, no idea of which road to take, it will make you want to begin pulling and grabbing and exploring and understanding all of the avenues that allowed me to travel within the jewels that helped me get beyond the carnality, beyond the affliction, into the terms of endearment and the oneness with the nomad that lives deep within me. In essence leading me to slowly shed the layers covering my mind and my spirit that ultimately lead me to become Unveiled! My poetic portal in declaring my freedom to dream, my freedom to speak, my freedom to be quiet, to love, to be loved, to feel, to live and my freedom to make mistakes. I present to you Unveiled!

LAYER ONE

N LIFE

JEWELS, A LOOK WITH ELEVATED

CONSCIOUSNESS

This layer reveals poetry that deals with everyday life. The situations that make life what it is and the way we deal with others. I look at life lessons as jewels. Jewels are a look with elevated consciousness, a Third Eye look. Knowledge, being merely data or information, is the center of the most valuable asset known to mankind. Once put to use through the experience of trial and error, the mind has the ability to overstand that knowledge is wisdom. By definition jewels are anything that are very precious or valuable. Wisdom is valuable! Life will always allow you to learn from your mistakes if that is what you choose to do. My poetic verses will take you to different situations and allow you to look at them and be able to relate and not feel judged. It will allow you to uncover the inner parts of my losses, as well as, my successes.I have overcome many tragedies in order to be the person that I am today. I have grown in my faith, in my overstanding, within my thoughts and in my heart. From every experience within me and everyone around me, through written word sound, I reveal to you JEWELS!

CATASTROPHE!

Food for thought and thoughts for your mind,

You will not believe what happened in this day and time,

Almost an entire group erased in one event;

It only took a few hours not much time was spent,

Such a thing as this was predicted and written, but read by few,

Evacuate is what was said, and if you stay here’s what you do,

Keep handy an axe, a hammer and a saw,

So you can bang and cut your way through,

The ones who got out were glad they did, and the others had no clue,

As to the rising waters and the walls that were too weak to hold,

Some had to say their last prayers where they were, to ask God to take their souls,

The walls were put there to hold back the water, who knew they would break,

But this reality came from a higher place,

The sin in the city was too much for God to take,

There was evil, hate and destruction taking over all that was good,

So I’m guessing he had to take this time to do what he could,

His plans were to stop evil from spreading onward and through,

He’s shutting it down to give you a chance to start anew,

There were lives lost, some taken and others washed away,

But if you made it out, you should be thankful for a new day,

There were many tears flowing in the ducts of many eyes,

Promising God that they would change if he didn’t let them die,

All they wanted was tomorrow,
