About this ebook

support poets

Got your mouth wide open and thirsty, your cup nearly poor. Take a sip from my cup and fuel your mind fill your void. You have a inquisitive mind, I am sure you can handle more. Like all the great poets and the admires of years before, enter the art and move forward. Imagine looking at life from an angle, congruent to the down side. Does it make you happy that others have been pushed to the side? Imagine life looking at someone at the top of his game, comparing your achievements , and ending up shamed. If the blues can pick you up, so can being down for the count. If struggling through life can lift you, then you know what I am talking about. Got your mouth wide open and thirsty, figure it out. Feeding you this potion, Down For The Count.

    From the Author

Thirty-something and counting, I realize that I have been called to write. Writing allows me to express myself with mindful consideration. Publishing is my opportunity to share my calling with you. I have a destination in mind. My goal is to reach you. Poetically, I communicate with you with the intention to inspire and to feed you from an assortment of spoons. Read and give your best effort to comprehend, it will be enjoyment for you. I introduce you to a changed mind, a Settled Mind in III Ky 103. Consider it my gift to you. We begin our relationship walking a narrow line on the ground floor. Beautiful, how friends meet. I want to earn your approval, as we make this journey through the pages of my poetry.

Now, as we travel up foreign steps in search of the strength of poetic achievements, I introduce you to a stronger mind, one that is capable of surviving after being Down For The Count. In III Ky 107 I bring fire to the tablet. I am writing with intentions of you hearing me. Here, you witness a depressed, frustrated, and fed-up mind. More fire! This is not for young eyes to follow. Partake of the pages, keeping my mission in mind: to be inspired and relieved.

    Dear Lord…

    Dear God…

I don’t know what to do in this bitch

    Life is foul

    Strung out in this relationship

    My son…

    My wife…

    Her child…

The weight of the world breaking up my shit

    Running to the window

    Looking for air…

    Looking for peace…

    Serenity…

    Shout for deliverance

    Someone must hear me

    Someone must see

    Looking at ideas

    Feeling inside me

    Some from instinct

    Some from T.V.

    Through the back door

    I hurry

    Tip-toe’n on hay-like lawn

    Trying to release tension

    Looking for satisfaction

    Bothered by wings above

    Every-two-minutes I hear these noises

    Where am I going

    I miss my toys

    Heavy-footin’ back into the house

    Headed for the shower door

    Hot water low…

    My wife is washing clothes

    Nothing else to do

    I ain’t got paid yet…

    Can’t gas-up my car

    Waiting on my check
