Unpoetic III - Jeff C. Whitaker
Unpoetic is simple poetry.
The series evolved into poetry with a purpose.
Feel.
Love.
First
It’s not a courtesy. It’s homage
The balance to new knowledge
It’s all that we want, knowing how fleeting
The feeling of winning though no one’s competing
So much pressure from the freedom implied
Quality embodied as quantified.
Temptation and question but not the Bite
Easier to travel with lesser to fight
Experience, Encounter
Concert and Bouncer
Disrespectful we force 0 when we know it exists
Hence such a hero whose sole fault is this twist
Again, Anxiety, Anger,
A ‘lil alliteration is ill,
Away and still
Alliterations Abound
Always acting, asking a bit much
Away with the same for change or
Address you as Stranger
More Mr. Nice guy.
No more Mi Azucena
A kiss
Such a rare space of feeling
Not a hug, nor sex -
A kiss is an end, and what’s next?
Innocent enough to move past
enough to leave you stressed
A greeting and goodbye
You ain’t doin’ that to every person you greet.
At any age, you steal away for one.
Crawling, walking, rolling it can take you off your feet
A kiss
What is more worth stealing?
Was it worth it?
Chasing, Searching
Found it?
Perfect
Next things Best Thing
Earth is
No means No, and No means Yes thing.
Testing. Testing.
Answers Questing
Yet we
Forget to make amends.
Sacred oaths until the end
