About this ebook
Shatoya Harris
Shatoya wrote her first poem at the age of eleven. She considers her poetry a gift. Though a Native New Yorker, She loves to travel the world and become enlightened. Ms. Harris is an assistant educator in New York but is genuinely introverted. “Writing is a tool to be more expressive.” Shtoya’s hobby of writing has earned her an Editor’s Choice Award for Outstanding Achievement in Poetry. This award was presented by Poetry.com and the International Library of Poetry in 2007. Shatoya wants her literature to be relatable.

Foreword
This book is a dedication to my baby, my life and my heartbeat Danielle. As her mom I want to by her prime example of how you can set goals and execute them.
I have had this passion for writing as long as I can remember. I am extremely grateful to be able to share my inner thoughts and feelings with you. My inspiration for this book is drawn from my own life experiences and my observations of other people’s triumphs and tribulations. I am a relatable young woman from Brooklyn, New York that has been made stronger through my experiences. I am hoping that there will be a page, a line or a verse somewhere amongst these pages that can touch someone.. For me, education has always been the key to success. I thank my mom Nadine for always allowing me to be myself, and though not always perfect having my best interest at heart. She supported me when I became a beautician, was the first smiling face when I received my Associates Degree, and is continuing to support me throughout my college career.
Life is too short not to enjoy. Sleep in
