    PART I

WHY I WROTE THIS BOOK GRATITUDE JOURNAL

A Gratitude Journal is a trendsetter. It sets the trend and the quality of the day. When you start your day with gratitude in your heart, you are creating your day with a solid purpose.

Every day is the first day of the rest of your life! Thus, you are creating your life; you are creating your own Destiny.

Day by day, thought by thought, speech by speech, and deed by deed you master the craft of reshaping your life.

    Yesterday Ended with Last Night

Your yesterday has disappeared behind the curtain of time. Today is a new dawn, and you can capture it with much more vigor and enthusiasm, and accomplish anything you want in life. Your Gratitude Journal is the start of your new dawn, a new beginning to embark on a new mission, whatever it may be.

Anything well begun is half done, said the Greek philosopher Aristotle. Thus, away from the yesterday of failed attempts and discouragements, you are starting a new day of hope, purpose, and self-confidence to face the challenges the day brings to you. In life, things happen! We all have pleasant experiences, as well as unpleasant experiences. It does not matter what experience comes to you. The most important thing and the only thing that matters is how you face those challenges daily.

The Practice of Gratitude prepares you to meet the challenges of daily living with great optimism and hope. Gratitude has the power to erase the negativity that creates negative emotions like anger, fear, jealousy, and the resulting violence. Gratitude heals, it is your transformative catalyst, and it helps you rewrite your own destiny!
