Early one morning I woke before dawn and the only thing I heard were these words over and over again.   I heard it so much I started to feel I was going crazy.  The way I heard them was not as subtle as one simply reading a few words jotted on paper, no this was in the cadence of an alarm.  A very LOUD alarm.  This alarm rang deep into my soul and at that moment I realized I needed to share my positivity with the world.  A positivity that looks for and sees the best in every situation.  A positivtiy that provides hope and courage to face anything life may throw at you with the confidence of one that knows he will not lose.  I pray that you allow this book the opportunity to change your perceptions and outlooks on everyday, simple things you experience.

 

2020 has definitely taken its toll on all of us.  My heart truly goes out to those who have lost loved ones, those who have lost the world they knew, and those that have been forced to live with despair and uncertainty.  The next steps we take going forward will be the most important ones we face individually, and as a nation.  You made it here for a reason, now it's time to find out what that reason in.

Day 1: Change

Awise man once told me in order to change the world I must change myself.  Daily we are bombarded with images and instances of negativity, and I’m tired of it.  I can’t control the images or instances I see, but I can control my perception of them.  The person who sees the glass half empty and the person who sees the glass half full are still looking at the same glass.  Perception begins in the mind; therefore, the entire battle is one you cannot physically see until one side has clearly won.  Once that battle is complete, the victor then controls the sense of vision and the glass then becomes half empty or half full to you.  The beautiful thing about perception is ultimately you have the control.  Throughout life challenges will arise, and the key to beating many of them begin in the perception of the problem.  If there is a problem you’re currently going through, I challenge you to first look for the good in that problem.  What is the lesson? Is this a recurring issue?  Is it making you better or stressing you out? Ultimately, you must know perception is only the first step.  In order to achieve breakthrough, one must adopt, embrace, and enact change.  The definition of insanity is continuing to do the same behavior and expecting different results.  At some point changes must be made.  What changes must be made in order to reach your mountaintop? Better question, are you willing to make those changes?
