The final surrender - Antonella Brofferio

    6:35).

    Introduction

The following narrative will emphasize some biblical instruction, which you will find listed in the book's contents.

    "Many prophets and kings

wanted to see what you see,

    but did not see it;

and to hear what you hear,

    but did not hear it"

    (Luke 10:24).

    In the first place

the Protagonist of this narrative is

    Christ Jesus, the Lord.

"The true light that enlightens everyone was coming into the world. He was in the world, and though the word was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came into his house, and his own did not receive him. Yet to all who received him, he gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in his name, who were not born of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of human decision, but born of God" (John 1:9-13).

    "I am the way, the truth and the life;

No one comes to the Father

    except through me"

    (John 14:6).

    In the second place

    the main character is

    the man of God

    around whom

    the entire narrative unfolds.

His aim was preaching the gospel of the Kingdom of God to all inhabitants.

This narrative will show you that all human beings can be set free from sin and be servants to God benefiting from His promises; but the sinful nature of the first man Adam must be rejected. The earthly kingdom is defiled by sin but those who have been justified by faith, will find peace with God, through Jesus Christ, the Lord.

"… For the land which you are going to take possession of, is not like the land of Egypt from which you came out, and in which you sowed the seeds and than watered it with your feet, such as a vegetable garden; but the land of which you are going to take possession of, is a land of mountains and valleys, which absorbs the water of the rain that comes from heaven: a land which the Lord your God cares for and over which the eyes of the Lord your God are always upon it, from the beginning to the end of the year "(Deuteronomy 11: 10-12).

Every human being is appointed to die once, but if you don't love and forgive your neighbour comes God's judgement. The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus, the Lord.

    AND YOU

when you say that you don't see Him,

    your case is before Him;

you have to be able to wait for Him!

    (Job 35:14).

    Last, but not least:

seek the Lord your God in the day of affliction

    and grasp the eternal life

to which you have been called.

If you cast your distress upon the Lord,

    he will sustain you.

    "Behold,

I stand at the door and knock:

if someone hear my voice and open the door,

I will come to him and dine with him

    and he with me"

    (Revelation 3:20).

    Chapter

    1

    The king's kingdom

    and his subjects

    "Behold,

    I have taught you

    laws and prescriptions,

    as the Lord my God

    commanded me

    to putting them into practice

in the land you are entering

    to take possession of it"

    (Deuteronomy 4:5).

This is the story of a kingdom ruled by a king, whose duty it was to administer justice according to God's will. His delight was in the law of the Lord and meditating on it day and night just as his father had done. There were in the king's service wise men who administered his affairs and women whose roles were to dress both king and queen.

The king married a good-looking woman, who did not belong to any dynasty and from this marriage union were born three children who were growing in the discipline and instruction of the Word of God. They lived in a beautiful stronghold within which there were trumpeters who blew the trumpet and singers who sang in unison to praise and celebrate the Lord.

The king did what was right in the eyes of the Lord. Not only, he established a public pact in order to proclaim emancipation, whereby everyone had to send back his slave or her slave but also, he abolished divination and sorcery.

"Let no one be found among you who makes his son or daughter pass through the fire, nor any diviner, nor astrologer, nor fortune-teller, nor magician, nor enchanter, nor spirit-reader, nor fortune-teller, nor necromancer, for the Lord detests everyone who does these things; for these abominable practices the Lord your God is about to drive out those nations before you. You will be upright towards the Lord your God; for those nations whom you will expel listen to astrologers and soothsayers. But the Lord your God does not permit you to do so" (Deuteronomy 18:10-14).

When the king was troubled due to his enemies,

he psalmodied to the Lord, God

    as herewith:

"Have mercy on me, O God, for men are undermining me; they are fighting me and tormenting me every day; my enemies are constantly persecuting me. Yes, there are many who fight me. On the day of fear, I trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust, and will not fear. What can mere mortals do to me? They always twist my words; all their thoughts are aimed at harming me. They gather, they lie in wait, they watch my steps, they seek to take my life. Reward them according to their wickedness! O God, bring the nations down in your wrath! You count the steps of my wandering life; you gather my tears into your wineskin. Do you not record them in your book? On the day that I call upon thee, my enemies will flee. I know that God is for me. I will praise the word of God; I will praise the word of the Lord. In God I trust and will not fear; what can man do to me? I will keep the promises I made you, O God; I will offer you sacrifices of praise, because you have saved my soul from death, you have kept my feet from falling, so that I may walk in the light of the living before God" (Psalm 56).

The entire stronghold was enclosed in a defensive circuit of walls and entrusted to an army whose task it was to protect the kingdom against the attacks of the enemies. The king's officers knew the Word of God, and before going into battle, they shouted loudly:

"Some put their trust in chariots, others in horses; but we trust in the name of the Lord, our God. They bend and they fall, but we stand firm. O Lord, save the king! May the Lord answer us on the day that we call him!" (Psalms 20:7-9).

In the direction of the main entrance of the fortress, there was a double-leafed gate, guarded by four guards, and a drawbridge below which was a large chasm delimiting the royal residence from the rest of the kingdom. In addition, the fortress was surrounded by circular walls with four towers of different sizes and shapes. One of these towers had two windows: the first looked out onto the inner courtyard of the royal property
