    INTRODUCTION

Beginning with this foundational principle that we together hold to be true, which is, Jesus of Nazareth is indeed the Christ, the Son of God, and the Savior of the world. If you also believe this fundamental truth, let us then move together toward a more complete examination of our common salvation.

Brothers and sisters, this book exists so that you will not be led astray. While the message of this book was being revealed to me, I felt there had been a continual urge to write it down, so that the Holy Spirit might open your eyes and so that you could see these truths. Not that I am worthy, but because of my obedience to the faith, by the word of God, and by His abundant mercy and grace, God has chosen me for this work. You will notice that the word of God is quoted often throughout this book. The main goal was to present God’s message in a clear way in hopes that you will understand His truth. Let Christ reveal to you whether or not this is His truth. For we should not ourselves be teachers of God’s word; rather, we should direct people to what Jesus taught. Jesus is the teacher:

And don’t let anyone call you ‘Teacher,’ for you have only one teacher, the Christ. (Matthew 23:10 NLT)

The true teacher of Christ will direct others to what Jesus says:

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. (Matthew 28:19-20 NIV)

The main idea here is to keep an open mind, for this is the key to understanding God’s word. While writing this material, I experienced many revelations about God’s word. For me, this was a fulfillment of God’s word:

So pay attention to how you hear. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But for those who are not listening, even what they think they understand will be taken away from them. (Luke 8:18 NLT)

Jesus warns us to take heed how we interpret the word of God. Jesus says that if you hear, more will be given. Therefore, work out your relationship with God so that you may hear from God for yourself. Then, let Jesus reveal the deep mysteries of His word, so that His light will shine in you and your light will light up a small part of this dark world. Our light together can shine so the world will be able to see what God really wants from His people, which is for His righteousness to shine through us. Truly everything that is good in this world is from God:

So don’t be misled, my dear brothers and sisters. Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. (James 1:16-17 NLT)

It is also appropriate to talk about knowledge in general. The Bible tells us the beginning of all knowledge is fear of the Lord:

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline. (Proverbs 1:7 KJV)

The fear of the Lord is to understand that God hates evil and administers justice accordingly.

Come, you children, listen to me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD. What man is he that desires life, and loves many days, that he may see good things? Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking guile. Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry. The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. (Psalm 34:11-16 KJV)

There is a lot in this book about how to get to heaven. Some might become discouraged that they will not be able to attain the kingdom of heaven. I would like to point out a scripture to the reader that suggests there is a judgment for all individuals, whether they are the elect or not. This judgment comes at the end of time and is dependent upon how we have treated our fellow mankind.

When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the
