This prophecy of God, empowered by the Holy Spirit has been put together and dedicated to:

 The people of God who believe that the Lord Jesus Christ came on earth to give them life and give it abundantly.

 The people who believe that God entrusted them to take full control of their life for His glory.

 Youngsters across the world who want to take control of their lives.

 Every person who believes that the Holy Spirit has been given to mankind as a gift to teach and help them to be in charge of their lives.

To all who believe that without their remote, life would not be as exciting, abundantly and fulfilling to the initial plan of God. I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.

Taking back your remote!

Do you know who is in control of your life? Who dominates your personal space? Who influences your day-to-day decisions? Who manages your movements? Who monitors your what, when, how and where? The youngsters today would say, Who calls the shots? Can you easily pinpoint and quickly give an answer? Or to give an answer to these simple questions will require scanning of your entire hard drive as you struggle to get the answers. Can I tell you that you are not the only one? So many things have taken over the life, the control, the authority of God’s people and possessed the positions of being their controller. That is why it is hard for you to know who is in control because the person or the thing in control is a giant that you are even scared to face or call out its name.

Observing how people live, how they make decisions and how they conduct themselves, I have concluded that many of them have lost authority, power and control over their lives and over situations in their lives and around them. I believe that the world is convinced that some of the shocking things we do confirm that we do not have control over our actions. This is the reason that some people have refrained from reading news or watching any sort of television programs that give updates of what is happening in our communities, in our country or around the world because watching and listening to these programs gets one emotionally drained, traumatised, sick and with nervous dispositions and emotionally disturbed. Those who are like me, are left crying for weeks when reflecting on such sad events.

It’s as if someone was behind the perpetrators with a remote and just pressing buttons and commanding them to do these evil acts. I am talking about a situation where one cannot even explain what happened and cannot even remember how things got there. Like we see in the movies; it is like they had their brains reformatted or they were under the influence of certain powers as there seems to be a disconnection between them and their actions. How do you hold such people accountable for their actions if you cannot connect the dots of what they have done to come up with a completely meaningful story that justifies their actions? I am referring to people that are even using the government funds and their family’s savings to consult with specialists to remember the evil or the dumb things they would have done. These are ordinary people who keep on wondering how they ended up where they are today and seem to be struggling to figure it out and believe if it is them who did what seems to be an accusation.

People show animalistic behaviours and characters to their own people and families. I am in fear of where this world is going with such people! What kind of families are we building with such people who are operating behind some sort of shadows? In my mind, this mean that some dark forces are running our lives and families and as a result, even the children we are raising will live like those dark forces. You know they have already shown the symptoms; forever in their rooms that are always locked, their ears shut to what is around them because of earphones and headphones, we only see them when they take their plates which aunties have prepared and disappeared back to their movies and social media. Do not stop here because this is really not the focus of this book. The aim of this book is to help the people of God claim their lives back, to take their life-remotes from whoever and whatever that took them away by whatever means of trickery or fair agreement so they possess no control, no power and no authority over their own lives. I want to encourage them that there is no one, big or small, visible or invisible, weak or strong who should have power over them.

I compare this to a television remote that is found in the hands of an unauthorised person. I have observed and realised that the television screen takes orders from anyone whether sick, drunk, crazy, depressed, stressed, annoyed, angry, happy or bitter as long as they have its remote, they can navigate through it. The person in charge of the remote at that moment can take it to any station; be it a good station or a bad one, the television just responds. The remote submits to the authority of its controller. It has no built-in mechanism to decline what the controller wants. The remote will show whatever it has been directed to show. And if whatever it has been told to show does not satisfy the controller another up, down and centre navigation will immediately follow. It is sad but it is exactly what we are all exposed to as long as our life-remotes are in the hands of other people or things we have allowed to take over our lives.

These are the same actions troubling my spirit as I observe the same done to our loved ones and look like they are trapped with no way to escape. The people Jesus died for on the cross. The people He put down His life so they may have life. The people He come on earth to rescue and restore them to their queenly and kingly positions. His children in churches, in their homes, in the streets, in different places you can think of. They are being controlled by darkness, have lost the power and authority to refuse or defend themselves. This troubles my heart because I am convinced that this is not what they are created for. It is my prayer that God’s people stop being controlled and abused in this manner like a television under the control of the person with the remote. They cannot be moved around just because they have lost control over the enemy, forced to do things like they have no eyes to see or mind to make their own decisions. May the Lord restore them to their position of power?

For the purpose of this book, I will use the remote as a symbol to refer to this control. Being in control of your remote means regaining full control of your life and every quality that goes with it. I agree to this because I believe you are born for bigger things and for the glory of God. I believe through this book the Lord Jesus Christ will encourage you to claim your control back. However, for this to happen, you need to possess the controller position and get in charge of your life. I believe that as we are going into the heart of this topic, you have already prayed to God to prepare your heart for His teaching and powerful revelations regarding this topic. I also pray that you have requested the Holy Spirit to help you receive the fullness of His teaching through this book.

Chapter 1

You are either in control or you are being controlled!

Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, where for forty days he was tempted by the devil.

Luke 4:1.

If you do not know the above verse or have never read the chapter, may I suggest that you put down the book, take your Bible, google it or read from your downloaded version. Read from verse one up to thirteen; I guarantee you that this will remind you of what happened and will increase the level of your understanding as we go into the heart of this revelation and all the messages that I will be sharing pertaining this chapter. I will use this scripture as the baseline to answer the question I have put up as the heading of our chapter – Which spiritual world is in control? Having an appreciation of the scripture will make you enjoy the lessons and make your learning much better.

In summary, the scripture reveals to us the existence of the Holy Spirit and that through His power, He took over control from Jesus Christ and led Him to the wilderness. I want you to understand this: It was not the decision of Jesus Christ to go into the wilderness but it was by the power and the authority entrusted in God’ Spirit. The Spirit of God took control to get Jesus where God the Father wanted Him to be. We know that He received this Spirit from His Father and the Spirit was in control. Luke 3:21, When all the people were baptised Jesus was baptised too. And as He was praying, heaven was opened, and the Holy Spirit descended on Him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: ‘You are my son whom I love; with you I am well pleased.

The Bible tells us that while Jesus Christ was in the wilderness Satan came and I assume he came in the form of a spirit. He was given power, control and authority to test Jesus Christ and while in charge he took the Lord Jesus Christ to different places as part of his tempting activities. And when he was done – all his tests failed, he left him and he was now taken care of by the angels of God. This is what challenged my mind. I became overly concerned to discover that both spiritual worlds have magnificent influence on what we do, how we do it and when we do it. I thought if both worlds were given control, power, authority and time into the life of Jesus Christ – access to His
