Inspired by philosophical topics, she incorporates important principles into her book to help guide children through life in a fun and positive way. Grace was inspired to write Crusty the Orange while completing some farm work in an orange and lemon packing shed in regional Queensland, Australia. Grace noticed that the oranges seen as unattractive or imperfect were not included for sale in supermarkets, and found herself pondering their purpose. She strongly believes we each have a different role to play, based on our unique qualities and characteristics, including Crusty the Orange.
