BEDTIME STORIES
The Violet
I've never quite understood why individuals make their life so difficult. Why were their tiny minds racing with so many ideas and questions? They had so many options and options for freedom, but they still grumbled about it with envious eyes and voices that seemed to want to change every time they talked.
Every time they went to the park, whether it was every day or every Friday, they did the same thing. I occasionally questioned why they had such a strong desire to be someone else. Or perhaps it was because they spoke terribly of others who were different from them.
I spent my entire life studying them to attempt to understand what was going on. When the enormous, bright moon in the night sky abruptly vanished and an even bigger, brighter sun emerged, I noticed that everything in my immediate surroundings was only green.
Not like me, a tiny violet flower.
As is customary, the park was once more packed with people after an hour. But today, their expressions weren't as joyful and their eyes weren't as brilliant as they glanced at me. Only this young child stopped and poked her index finger at me because she wasn't bored.
Her tiny smile spread across her face.
Look at that bloom, mom!
she shouted as she sprinted in my direction, It's so gorgeous!
A middle-aged woman immediately moved up to stand next to her and nodded. Lizzy, you're right.
She reached out and seized my stem.
My body experienced a brief wave of pain, and I could feel the blood draining from my stem, which made me feel chilly.
Lizzy accepted me and gave me a long, blue-eyed stare. She said, It's so gorgeous. May I keep it?
She hugged me flawlessly when her mother replied yes,
which caused my leaves to gently sway. I was thrilled that I could bring her joy.
In a group, we left the park. Suddenly, the air grew chilly, and the sun stopped warming me. I felt chilly and terrified. But as Lizzy approached other little creatures and proudly displayed me to them, I didn't feel that way for very long.
She triumphantly said, Look at this gorgeous flower,
to the delight of the children in her immediate vicinity. I'm sure that being regarded in this way made me flush.
Lizzy was questioned by a boy, Where did you locate it?
Lizzy kissed me gently. He seemed a little jealous, but that was fine, I could tell. They complimented me.
When Lizzy smiled, her crooked teeth were evident. In a park. Yet, this is the last example of its kind. The last one is this one.
The children scowled and started to leave, getting back to their game.
Lizzy cried. Hey! Where are you going?
One of the boys turned to face her. Max said we could use his ball because he had one.
He gave an explanation, and what he said really saddened me. In contrast, Lizzy grinned, pushed me aside, and went after the other children.
I tripped and hit the icy, hard ground. It wasn’t as soft as where I used to spend my day.
I tried not to cry for the rest of my life as I lay on the pavement after being trodden on while thinking about Lizzy. Considering every person.
By the time the moon rose, I would either be gone or completely dried off. I made an effort to savor every last moment of my existence.
It was terrible to see how fast people lost interest in beautiful things when something better, more significant, and more magnificent came along.
They all behaved the same, regardless of how envious they were or how hard they tried to be the most well-liked and admired.
They merely desired what was popular. They worked so hard to get notoriety, but all they accomplished was to become lost.
I have spent the brief time I have been alive studying them. Then, despite the fact that I was surrounded by grass, everyone stopped what they were doing to simply stare at me. I was cool, but then I wasn't. I didn't do anything wrong.
I was thus lying there, anticipating the conclusion, when someone pulled me up and grinned at me. There was a person there. Their heads were shaved, and their faces weren't as attractive as Lizzy's.
Hey, pretty,
they said in a quiet voice, and I could tell it was a girl because of the tone of the voice.
They were taking me with them because I was feeling warm within. They placed me in a glass in their flat after a short while. Looking around, I noticed another bloom in the glass next to me. Tulip.
The person introduced herself to us by saying, My name is Melanie.
She was grinning broadly.
Every evening after work, she would visit the park to take in the scenery and sketch something in her tiny notebook.
She showed us her painting on a piece of paper that she had brought over. I attended with Tulip.
I don't understand. Who could have destroyed you? But rest assured—I won't let you pass away!
she assured me, and I recognized her as one of us. She was like a bloom.
Wherever she went, people stared at her because she was so unusual and special. She was so amazing that she chose to paint flowers rather than pluck them and preserve them for all time.
Because the beauty of nature didn't just last for a day, a week, or a year. It continued forever. So, the beauty of nature was paramount.
Being true to who you are is the best thing you can do. Always remember that.
The Warrior’s Mother
Gradually, the brightness returned to her eyes. Despite the dim lighting, her eyes had a moist shine that seemed to capture the light. Even though the night had not yet completely veiled her beauty, the sharp edges of the diamonds that covered her body shined brilliantly in the light.
A sound started to emerge. Weightless feet appeared to be crushing the soft clay mud. She opened her eyes and noticed two hands touching the intricately carved wooden railing that was erected in front of her. Is it time?
the woman asked in a faint voice that was devoid of any emotion.
A throat is cleared as the air is startlingly silent in the early morning. Sure, Ammi.
The person crouches down and inspects the sharp Talwar, which had been folded in pieces of satin and silk.
Ammi!
he said, Don't worry about me.
The lady tilted her head. Perhaps she had to suppress her tears for a while because she was upset.
Ammi! Your boldness actually gives me courage, while your tears only increase my fear. Please do not discourage me at this uncertain time.
She raised her left arm to the man's cheek level, placing her palm there. When the first ray of sunlight touched them, they moved outside.
The woman had freckles all over her face. The lavish purple hat perched on her frail head was a reflection of her dwindling strength. A single, exquisite, presumably gold feather was also attached to the antenna of the cap. The hat complemented the rest of the outfit quite well. She was nearly half a head taller than the man standing next to her, who was stocky but well-built, young yet with a hint of arrogance in his look. He, too, was wearing opulent clothing that sparkled in the lowest light.
We're waiting for your permission to leave; as soon as you give it, we'll leave,
was uttered through the fissures in their bones as a thunderous boom of voices rose from below.
Neither the male nor the female showed any signs of life. He offered his hand and said, I have to go now, Ammi; let's go down.
Son….
But the intensity of her sentiments prevented her from finishing the phrase. All that could be heard was the clinking of metal, steel, and the spectacle armors. The words were lost in the din of a million men's voices.
Nothing could sever the beautiful moment the mother and son had while holding hands. Urgency gripped their chests as they descended onto the moist grass with their toes. The herds of gleaming horses whined in a constant cadence as the carts were lined up with their fronts all facing the same direction. The mechanized soldiers arranged themselves neatly into several groups. The Emperor's intricately decorated traditional chairs were carried by twenty enormous elephants.
The couple halted when they noticed the soldiers. The man's father, who was also obviously the woman's husband, was perched on one of the elephants and turned his head away from his offspring. A person jumped to saddle his horse, grabbing the reins. Ammi! Even when I'm gone, I will always love you since it was your hands that molded me from a helpless baby into the man you see in front of you.
Because an Empress had to be strong,
