    BEDTIME STORIES

    The Violet

I've never quite understood why individuals make their life so difficult. Why were their tiny minds racing with so many ideas and questions? They had so many options and options for freedom, but they still grumbled about it with envious eyes and voices that seemed to want to change every time they talked.

Every time they went to the park, whether it was every day or every Friday, they did the same thing. I occasionally questioned why they had such a strong desire to be someone else. Or perhaps it was because they spoke terribly of others who were different from them.

I spent my entire life studying them to attempt to understand what was going on. When the enormous, bright moon in the night sky abruptly vanished and an even bigger, brighter sun emerged, I noticed that everything in my immediate surroundings was only green.

Not like me, a tiny violet flower.

As is customary, the park was once more packed with people after an hour. But today, their expressions weren't as joyful and their eyes weren't as brilliant as they glanced at me. Only this young child stopped and poked her index finger at me because she wasn't bored.

Her tiny smile spread across her face.

Look at that bloom, mom! she shouted as she sprinted in my direction, It's so gorgeous!

A middle-aged woman immediately moved up to stand next to her and nodded. Lizzy, you're right. She reached out and seized my stem.

My body experienced a brief wave of pain, and I could feel the blood draining from my stem, which made me feel chilly.

Lizzy accepted me and gave me a long, blue-eyed stare. She said, It's so gorgeous. May I keep it? She hugged me flawlessly when her mother replied yes, which caused my leaves to gently sway. I was thrilled that I could bring her joy.

In a group, we left the park. Suddenly, the air grew chilly, and the sun stopped warming me. I felt chilly and terrified. But as Lizzy approached other little creatures and proudly displayed me to them, I didn't feel that way for very long.

She triumphantly said, Look at this gorgeous flower, to the delight of the children in her immediate vicinity. I'm sure that being regarded in this way made me flush.

Lizzy was questioned by a boy, Where did you locate it? Lizzy kissed me gently. He seemed a little jealous, but that was fine, I could tell. They complimented me.

When Lizzy smiled, her crooked teeth were evident. In a park. Yet, this is the last example of its kind. The last one is this one. The children scowled and started to leave, getting back to their game.

Lizzy cried. Hey! Where are you going?

One of the boys turned to face her. Max said we could use his ball because he had one. He gave an explanation, and what he said really saddened me. In contrast, Lizzy grinned, pushed me aside, and went after the other children.

I tripped and hit the icy, hard ground. It wasn’t as soft as where I used to spend my day.

I tried not to cry for the rest of my life as I lay on the pavement after being trodden on while thinking about Lizzy. Considering every person.

By the time the moon rose, I would either be gone or completely dried off. I made an effort to savor every last moment of my existence.

It was terrible to see how fast people lost interest in beautiful things when something better, more significant, and more magnificent came along.

They all behaved the same, regardless of how envious they were or how hard they tried to be the most well-liked and admired.

They merely desired what was popular. They worked so hard to get notoriety, but all they accomplished was to become lost.

I have spent the brief time I have been alive studying them. Then, despite the fact that I was surrounded by grass, everyone stopped what they were doing to simply stare at me. I was cool, but then I wasn't. I didn't do anything wrong.

    I was thus lying there,
