A Letter from BlackNES Guy
First, I want to thank you for purchasing my book. Whether this is your first purchase or another one to add to your collection, I appreciate your choice. Let me introduce myself, I am the one and only BlackNES Guy, I am your average lover of video games, especially the retro games that I grew up with as a kid. When I play those games now, I think back to a simpler time when it was just me and my brother playing Super Mario World for the first time or trying to figure out how to conquer The Legend of Zelda (without the help of the internet)! Playing those games now allows me to go back in time so to speak and relive some of those precious memories. Now being older and starting a family, I want to give my daughter the same type of experience that is why I have created these books. They are for her as much as they are for you and me. They are designed to be a nostalgic collectable for the hardcore gamer or a simple ‘old school’ strategy guide to help you conquer that one game that has been eluding you all these years. Whatever your reason for buying these books it is my goal that they help and serve you on your quest in whichever game it might be.
I have put together some additional bonuses for you inside this book. One is I invite you to join my Facebook group. Here we can connect and talk about retro games to our hearts content. I also love hearing any feedback you have on how to make the books even better or what guide you would like to see next! I have also included a FREE digital download of one of my books as a thank you for purchasing this one. You can get that by following the instructions on the next few pages. Lastly, I want to tell you about my Player 2 Press Start team. The Player 2 Press Start team is my advance reading team. They get advance copies of my books before they are released to the public. They help make sure the book is in tiptop shape by providing any additional thoughts or improvements before it goes live to the world. The most important part of being a Player 2, is when the book comes out, they leave a review on the Amazon page. Reviews are the lifeblood of my books; they let others know what you think of them. So, it’s their job to leave reviews as soon as possible so others know how great the books are. If you want to join this team, there is a link at the end of the book for you to sign up.
This is my way of giving back and adding some value to the gaming community. Video games have always been such an important part of my life and most likely yours too. I hope you enjoy my books and share them with all your gaming friends as well.
I would love to connect with you on social media as well,
