History
Today, Final Fantasy is a name easily recognized within the video game community. There are twelve main games currently in the franchise and several spin offs. As of March of 2018, the series boasts over 144.4 million in total sales. It has influenced the rise of role playing games and introduced several themes now standard in games of the genre.
