Ready to Take Your Journey to the Fifth?
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
FIRST, I MUST, give
honor and glory to God. All throughout my life I have felt your presence, and I know that my life’s experiences have prepared me for what is to come. To my wife, Minerva Ferrer, words cannot do justice for what you continue to do for me. You truly make me better.
To my kids - Anthony, Yaznay, Noah and Irish - strive for what you want in life and, with God, nothing can stop you. To my countless family members and friends - thanks for your support. Without you, I wouldn’t be writing my second book. The response to Mailbox Money has been so overwhelming, and my family and I are so grateful.
To my family members who are not here anymore. I think about the greatness in you that was cut short. In a selfish way, I wish you were still here to be a part of this Mailbox Money journey. Your memories are motivating because I know what you would have expected from me. I am a man of faith, so I trust God’s plan for your lives, and I am thankful for the times we had.
To my dear friend, Moises Guzman, thanks for the late-night sessions helping me to make Journey to the Fifth the best it could be.
To my publisher, Stephanie Outten of Cocoon to Wings Publishing, thanks so much for bringing this second book to life. You have embodied this project the way a publisher should and helped me to flush out all my ideas into a wonderful story for the world to enjoy.
To my editor, E. Claudette Freeman Literary Services, my proofreader, Tracy L. Carter of Sista Girl Publications, the design team, and Emerson McClain of IPOSE Media for photography and filming while on my speaker circuit - THANK YOU! Your partnership with me and Stephanie will take the vision of Mailbox Money and make it a reality. Thanks again, team!
Last, but not least, I want to give a special shout out to the person reading this book. Yeah, you! The one with the book in your hand, reading it on a device, or listening to it on audio. Hopefully you read the original Mailbox Money and are excited to continue the journey. If you have not, I would strongly advise you to read the original Mailbox Money to get an understanding of the premise of Journey to the Fifth. Before the first book was released, there was this fifth discipline that kept me up at night. Now you finally get to see Mailbox Money in its fullness. Allow this book to speak to your soul, and I pray that you will be changed in a way no other book has done for you. The Mailbox Money team gives you our sincerest THANK YOU! Now, let’s get to the story!
No one succeeds alone. Your success should be measured by not only what you have achieved but more on what others have done to help you. The success of your life will be measured by how many others you helped to succeed along life’s way with you.

CHAPTER 1
The Salesman
With the pants legs
of his designer suit creased like sharp razor blades, and his Amedeo Testoni shoes buffed to a shine, the Salesman was showing off his new Cartier watch to a small room of fellow employees. These employees were not only admiring his watch, they were drinking champagne as he celebrated having one of the best quarters in the company’s history. They laughed and joked as the Salesman told them how much his clients loved him and how he was making more money than he could count. He knew he was good, but his numbers were now getting the attention of people he didn’t know. People praised him, and all the talk was about him in the room that day. As they praised the Salesman, he smiled from ear to ear thanking everyone for their support as they toasted and drank merrily. The vibe of the room quickly changed when out of nowhere the door swung open and the Mentor burst in the conference room, upset, pointing at the Salesman and signaling him to go to her office.
The Salesman, holding up his finger, looked at her with a scowl on his face, Wait one second. Can’t you see I’m in the middle of a meeting? Grab a drink and I’ll be right there.
He waved his hand to dismiss her. He turned his back and continued talking with his co-workers. The Mentor walked up behind him and tapped him on his shoulder to get his attention. The co-workers watched in amazement as the Salesman, embarrassed, turned to face his mentor. She took the Salesman by his arm to lead him out while the other employees backed out of the Mentor’s way. The Salesman walked through their sea of smirks as he exited the conference room to follow the Mentor to her office.
Once in her office, behind closed doors, the salesman grumbled, What do you think you are doing? Why did you take me out of my own celebration like that, especially in front of my peeps? What if I did that to you? Would you like it?
Hay por favor. You wouldn’t dare.
With her tone, it was clear she was not playing.
Are you jealous because all those people in there are praising me and not you? I’ve got lots of new friends, people that believe in me and think I’m the future,
the Salesman patted his chest.
Friends? Is that what you call them? Where were they last year when you were ready to quit?
The Mentor couldn’t help but chuckle. I’m not going to argue with you. I just couldn’t let you sit in that room with them making you feel like you are all that when there is more for us to learn.
She walked in closer to him. What I really need to tell you is, it is finally time,
she nearly leaped with excitement.
Time for what? What are you talking about? So much to learn? I know it all already and am practicing the disciplines and making money,
he scratched his head.
The plane is ready, and we have a short window of time to travel for the fifth discipline. The weather where we are going is not the greatest and we must act fast,
she was serious and excited at the same time.
He slumped down in his chair. Come on! I just had a great quarter. I’m finally starting to make some real money, and now you want to pull me to go for this discipline.
He sucked his teeth. "When we took our first trip, we didn’t even know a fifth discipline existed. All we knew is there were four. Now, after all these years of you practicing these disciplines, do you think a fifth really exists?
He squinted as if trying to read her mind. I’m okay with the four disciplines you taught me. I don’t care anymore. I’m seeing the results. Haven’t you heard the saying ‘if it ain’t broke don’t fix it?’
He laughed and rubbed his face. "You don’t care because you’re making
