Summary
Dedication
As I was writing this book, I was thinking of the many people down through the years that have helped me with my bipolar disorder. Some of these people have been those I have met when I was hospitalized. However, most are my family mem bers.
My wife, Barbara, has always tried to stick by me even when she didn’t understand what was going on. My three children, Deborah, Stacie and Stephen have always tried to support me when they could. My daughters have done the computer work for me on this project. My mother has also been deeply affected by my disorder but has always been there for me.
I also want to thank my brother, Buddy and my two sisters, Sharon and Mary for continuing to support me.
I have been dealing with bipolar disorder for over 40 years now. It is not just a personal disorder, it is a family one too. Everyone near you is affected.
Last but not least, I want to thank the Lord Jesus Christ. Through His Holy Spirit, He has picked me up and encouraged me to keep on trying.
Thanks to all of you, even those I haven’t mentioned.
Introduction
Bipolar Heaven and Hell is a result of over 40 years of dealing with this disorder. When you have dealt with it this long, you are able to see the symptoms and recognize them in others. It is my hope that this book reaches these people and helps them recognize the symp toms.
It is also my hope that families who have a member that is bipolar will read this book and have a better idea what their family member is dealing with.
People who have been dealing with bipolar disorder for quite some time will come to a place where they realize they can have a happy, healthy and productive life. Do not give up.
Psalms 139:14 I will praise thee for
I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

Purpose
Greetings, if you are reading this little book, chances are you have a bipolar disorder or know someone who does. It may even be a family member. I am in my 60’s now and had my first bipolar episode in 1972. I was in Vietnam in the infantry and had no idea what was transpiring at the time. Three years later I ended up in a mental institution and 3 years after that another mental institution. In 1978, I was diagnosed, by a German doctor, with bipolar disorder. At present, I have been dealing
