Foreword
By Dr. Mark Virkler
You CAN live a worry-free life by just asking Jesus to lead the way. How to Live a Worry-Free life will show you, or your group how to have loving and healing encounters with the Living God increasing your faith, hope, love and peace. Dr. Patty Sadallah masterfully demonstrates the steps of that journey clearly with Scripture, personal stories and real Jesus conversations.
Patty teaches you how to pray with authority by helping you understand who God is, who you are, and how to claim His Promises related to your life. She concludes each chapter with Your Turn Practice Exercises
where she guides you into experiences and conversations with Jesus, similar to what you have just read about in the chapter. How many books do this? These exercises allow you and your group to step beyond a Bible study into a divine encounter. Lyric videos from contemporary Christian artists provide worship opportunities that invite God’s Presence, so your heart is properly postured to talk to Jesus.
It was ten years into my Christian life before I could begin having these kinds of interactions with God. The Word of God is clear that the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in the hearts of believers for this very reason. God IS the same, yesterday, today and forever.
Patty has released a gift for the body of Christ with this book. I guarantee that all who read How to Live a Worry-Free Life and work through the exercises will move to a more peaceful and powerful place in God’s grace. I pray this book finds its way into the hands of all who are hungry to find peace and intimacy with Jesus, and that its readers will lead others in the same manner.
To live worry-free is a command in the Bible, and God never gives a command without equipping us to obey it. You can live as God intended you to live. You can walk with God in the cool of the day and receive His direct counsel. You can immediately have Jesus encounters as Patty takes you by the hand and shows you how in the pages of this book. Your life will be forever transformed!

Preface
Four days after the LORD gave me the downloaded assignment to write my first book, Clips that Move Mountains in January of 2012, I was at the Cleveland House of Prayer, and Ben Keys came in for prayer. Ben is a Christian Prophetic Artist and was in town to reveal his Cleveland Renaissance
painting and the message the LORD had about the city’s future. He had a full day of meetings to share with different groups and wanted intercessory prayer. I had the great privilege of praying with him and receiving a prophecy from the LORD through him.
Ben told me that the LORD wanted me to receive the title of Author and to get comfortable with it. Clips that Move Mountains would be the first of many books. He said that God would use me to bring the message of the Realness of God and the practicality of the Christian Faith to the masses by using media, the language of this generation. For the first book, that meant the use of film clips as metaphors for the messages that the LORD wanted to share.
After writing Clips and then Journey to the Abundant Christian Life, its Bible study companion, I felt I needed to learn more in order to write more books. I became a student and immersed myself in the Word and His Presence. You will read the story of how the LORD led me to Christian Leadership University (CLU) later in the book, but what I learned in the nearly three-year journey to my Doctorate in Christian Leadership/Discipleship is that we have so much more as God’s adopted children than we ever realized.
I started teaching some of what I was learning from CLU as Bible study classes out of my home. Teaching helped me integrate what I was learning at a deeper level, and students were learning how to hear God's Voice and see visions just like me. We were learning about how to pray with more authority and to step out in faith because of our newfound intimacy with Jesus. We began to see and even expect miracles in that group! You will read about some of them later.
One of the things that I heard myself say over and over when someone from the group would ask a question about a Scripture or a challenge in their life was, Did you ask Jesus?
It became such a thing that I would ask, What do you think I'm going to say?
They would nod and say, Did you ask Jesus?
We would laugh and then they would take it to Jesus and let me know what He had to say about it. That's how I got the Just Ask Jesus series title. Once you know how to ask Jesus yourself, He becomes the Teacher, Counselor, Shepherd, Healer, etc. These are His names for a reason!
I believe that the LORD chose How to Live a Worry-Free Life as the first book in this series because it was the lesson that I most needed to learn. If I could learn to surrender my worries to the LORD, He could use me so much more than if my mind was distracted by my issues and problems. My journey to that discovery is on these pages. It's what I needed to learn to be able to live the life God intended for us in Psalm 46:10. (AMP) Be still, [cease striving, let go, relax] and know that I am God.
The Song Lyric Videos
For this book, the LORD spoke to me in songs and lyrics. The LORD lives in our hearts and not our heads, and He speaks in His language. The language of the heart is the flow of the Holy Spirit, pictures, stories, emotions, and music. It is why Jesus so effectively taught through emotionally moving stories and visual metaphors.
The song lyrics you will encounter support the message of the teachings and communicate directly to your heart. These incredible artists received these lyrics as direct inspiration from the LORD. Music has a way of sticking with us because our brains process the information through the artistic side, the same side that triggers our emotions. Listening and singing along to the songs while reading the words involves your eyes, ears, mind, voice, emotions and your heart. They will help you internalize the truths that the LORD most wants you to embrace.
There is another important reason to take the time to watch, listen and sing these songs: they are praise and worship to the King of kings. Praise and worship are food for the soul. They are powerful tools to combatting worry because you take your eyes off yourself and your problems and gaze at Jesus, He fills you up and strengthens you for the battle. God will respond when you focus on Him and not yourself or your worries because you are inviting Him to come near. You will learn that God’s Presence is the source of all power, peace, victory and effectiveness.
The easiest way to watch and listen to the lyric videos is to find them on the Song Lyric Links
page of www.JustAskJesus.org. They are listed there in order of appearance in this book. Also note, that the song lyrics are listed alphabetically in Appendix C at the back of the book.
Names of God in the Scriptures
Scriptures were researched using the online resources of www.Biblegateway.com and www.Biblehub.com. They are primarily in the New International Version (NIV) if not indicated, and in the Names of God (NOG) or other versions as indicated.
I chose NIV because it is a common translation and is easily understandable. Because this book teaches you how to find Scriptures and pray according to the Names of God and English translations do not indicate these specific names, NOG is also used. The Tree of Life Version (TLV) is another outstanding Bible that includes the original Hebrew Names of God and can also be found on Biblegateway. The Bible encyclopedia by Christian Resources.net identifies 939 Names and Titles of God with links to verses that reference them.[1] The Tool Box section of the book will give you more information about these websites, and research tools to dive into 24 Names of God.
Dialogue Journaling
You will see many Jesus conversations in this book. They come from my or other people’s dialogue journaling experiences. Jesus’ voice is always indicate in italics. Dialogue Journaling is a tool that you will learn on this journey and is the primary vehicle we will use for you to connect with Jesus. You will learn this skill in the next chapter and practice it in every chapter. The Tool Box chapter has a large section of tips and other exercises to help you get comfortable with this method. The more you dialogue journal, the easier it becomes.
I have included some audio links where I walk you through some of the Your Turn Practice Exercises. This is
