Tirza Schaefer

Tirza Schaefer was born in Cologne (Köln), Germany. After she graduated from school, where she qualified in German “Abitur” and also attained proficiency in English and Latin (she also studied French for two years and Russian for one), she moved to the United Kingdom in 1991 and lived there for the next eight years. She first started to study for a BA Combined at SOAS (School of Oriental & African Studies, London University) in Comparative Religious Studies & Indonesian Studies, then changed to The London Metropolitan University, and graduated in an HND in Leisure and Tourism Studies and a BA in Tourism Studies with Marketing.. She moved back to Germany in 1999 to embark on a new adventure: being a mother of three wonderful children. At the beginning of 2015, Tirza started to publish her books, and with currently over 30 published, continuously working on more, she is a creative hothouse. In April 2017, an Arabian Mau cat called Taani from Dubai joined the family. In 2018 and 2019, she founded Goddess Reiki, and loves to write about and work with Goddess archetypes to explore her psyche and help clients in this process with their self-development. To this day, despite her many academic achievements, her many talents and skills, Tirza Schaefer has a progressive personality and always strives to expand herself in many areas. What happens when you take three generations of strong, powerful women from one family and go on a trip to a region that is abound with historical and natural delights?

That’s right! Magic! Whether it is visiting fairy-tale castles from medieval times or bonding in a mother-daughter conversation, one of those that lay the hearts wide open and make you feel closer, this trip was a truly special one on so many levels. You will witness a conversation with a cow and meet healers on hoofs amongst other things.

This book came into being nearly by accident. My friends in England and the USA asked me to write a report on our holiday as I didn’t have internet connection in the mountains and they wanted to know about all the adventures we experienced.

I faithfully kept my promise to do so and wrote a report on my laptop each day. When I returned home, I sent the file to my friends and they replied that it was such a wonderful story, I should make a book of it. So I did. And the final result is what you now hold in your hands.

I wish you much pleasure and joy with this book as you delve into fairy-tale, parenting and time travels with me, my daughters and my mother. Enjoy!

The River Moselle, A Magical Garden & A Mooh-Kuh

We’ve driven from our hometown near Cologne where the River Rhine has inspired even the ancient Romans to settle two and a half hours to a small village in the Eifel mountains. It’s a relatively small and low mountain range, but it is sunny with lots of vine up the steep hills on either side of the much smaller River Mosel.

The village consists of about 50 houses, mostly Tudor cottages and houses, many streets laid out in cobblestones. To say, it is idyllic is an understatement.
