About this ebook

Africa is well known for its diversity in people and also in Traditional Healing. As an African Shaman, psychic, spiritual healer and psychic surgeon there is not much that I have not seen and experienced in Africa. From the darkest of evil work to the most beautiful work in God's name. The contradiction in ways of the people of Africa will surprise the most hardened spiritualist. My journey has been nothing short of incredible. My services to clear evil and negativity around people and their homes stretches all over Africa and neighbouring countries for Kings, high level government officials and politicians. Africa is overflowing with witchcraft, evil spirits and bad medicine (muthi). To this day I still don't understand why a white man was "called" by spirit to work in this frightening environment of darkness. I am now classifi ed as a Isanuse, a teacher of teachers, a title bestowed on no other white Shaman in Africa. I will leave my footprints embedded in my Africa forever, my children and their children will read about my journeys in many years to come. My Africa, my beautiful mistress of hills and rivers, Where the lion calls at dusk and the elephant move like spirits through the night Aaaaaiii, my Africa, how you make my heart beat.

    ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

This book is dedicated to my wife Jacqui of 37 years who has taken every step of my journey with me, my children Nikki and Neil and my Grandsons, Tyler and Joshua, my Granddaughter Grace who should be us by the time my book goes to print. May the pages of my life unfold before you so that you will in time understand that spirituality is not only a chosen path but also a calling. The hardships that the student encounters in his personal life along the way are indeed difficult and frightening. God calls us in different ways to serve and I hope that this book will also help others who feel that God has called them in a way that is frowned upon by others.

My dog Molly who has spent many hours laying at my feet keeping me company while I type away, thank you for being my best friend.

My love for my beautiful family will never fade, even in my darkest moments.

    CHAPTER 1

    FARM LIFE

M y overseas guests had booked out of my game lodge that afternoon and all my wonderful staff had gone home for the week-end to be with their families, I decided to have some me time and stayed behind on the farm to take in the sounds of the animals. The lions came to visit tonight and sat at the front gate letting me know they were here. The most beautiful male in his prime was letting out one of his blood curdling roars warning all that he is the king of his territory, challenging beast and man to dethrone him. Animals and humans alike quiver at the very sound of the raw power that he exhibits. There is a smell of death that lingers in the air when the king of the bush is vocal. The deathly silence for several minutes after each vocal challenge is eerie and no one dares to move. It is the most deep throated sound that a person can experience in the wild, and the volume is so powerful that it can be heard up to seven kilometers away, and trebled by the echo that fills the vastness of the area. When the big cats arrive you can feel the tension rise as they take control of the African bush. It is as if time slows down and the level of anticipation rises. Not knowing when the kill would take place, would it be swift and kind or ruthless or like when a cat plays with the mouse before the final kill! One can smell the drama that is about to unfold sometime during the early hours of the morning. The full moon was shining clear and in full glory as if every crater and any form of life upon will be noticed, the night insects were singing in the most beautiful harmony, not one sounded out of tune as they all blended into one song. Evenings in the African bush are very different to the daytime. Due to the heat during the daytime all forms of life operate at a much slower pace and as the evening approaches all and sundry begin to cool down and get a second breath. The flowers that would normally close their buds stay open as if too absorb the cool air and breathe with the rest of the living creatures that formed part of this eco system where all and everybody depended on one another to survive in some way or another. The nights are dark and the sky is sprinkled with millions of stars as if the creator himself took extra pride in completing the picture. This inter-connectedness which exists in the wild African bush is something I would never tire of.

The night was humid and warm and not a breeze about, the brown grasses of the savannah not moving in the slightest, the leaves on the tree’s stood still as if hypnotized by the beauty of the full moon, typical balmy summer evening, as the sweat started appearing on my forehead, I thought aloud to myself Thank you God for my life and all that has happened and all the successes I have achieved in the materialistic world. There was very little that I didn’t own or hadn’t owned in the past I thought as I inhaled on my cigarette looking into the shimmering aura of the moon. Harley’s, boats, several properties, game farms and Porches, a mansion in the up market neighborhood of Dainfern. Damn, life was good. Also, not to forget to mention, I had built up one the most successful Telecommunication companies from scratch and had won just about every award there was to win. Life was just a continuous flow of materialistic success and whatever I touched turned to gold. My family and I really knew how to use and wear this success. We had friends and family around us all the time and there was no end in sight of this self indulgent, self absorbing life style I had created for my family. Not knowing that God was about to test me to my limits, my story begins to unfold in a way that I still look back and wonder if this is all real. No sooner had the male lion quieted down for his meal when the universe felt the need to entertain me further.

I sat in the dark sipping on another drink listening to the African night sounds when suddenly I could hear the beating of an African drum somewhere in the distance, a young child was singing, I wasn’t quite sure if it was a boy or a girl, all I vaguely remember is my body starting to shake, my skin tingled and my head spun at such a speed that I nearly fell off my chair, not knowing what was going on I poured out the last contents of my glass onto the grass and felt a movement up my spine as if it was moving around! Something had just taken place that I did not understand, very confused and dizzy I went to bed. The sound of the Lion and the African drum was in due course to become the calling card of my journey –

    CHAPTER 2

    CONFUSION REIGNS

W hat was to about unfold was a life nothing short of madness and confusion linked to moments of sheer joy and of deep depressing darkness. It felt like I had just put my head down on the pillow to sleep when I for some reason opened my eyes, and looking up I saw what I thought were shadows until they moved towards me! I jumped out of bed screaming and switched the lights on, sweating and panting. Reprimanding myself I went back to bed with the hope of falling asleep, but, with my heart pounding I found it rather difficult to fall asleep again. Again, my
