    Dedication

    Dedication

    To my father and mother who taught me the scriptures and took me to God’s house at a young age exposing me to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

    To my cousin and spiritual brother who was there to hear the ideas I had and the advice that he freely gave on the scriptures and experiences.

    A special thanks to my precious wife, my companion and best friend through all the weeks and months she patiently supported me and listened to my thoughts and ideas, while patiently waiting on me as I was writing this book.

    To Jesus, our Lord and Savior.  Because of Him I had the love and desire thru the Holy Spirit to write this and spread the truth of the things to come. I pray this book will be a blessing to you as it was to me.

    Sincerely, In Christ Jesus

    Introduction

    INTRODUCTION

    After many years of studying this wonderful book of Revelations, I felt the desire and need to expound on the mysteries of how we, as Christians, should prayerfully try to understand it.  I have heard so much about everyone’s opinion of it that I felt it necessary to write about it also.  My intent is to simply explain how this should all come about based on scriptures, and not speculate with unfounded ideas of events that cannot be proven with scriptures from the Holy Bible.  I don’t have a P.H.D. or an M.B.A, nor am I a theologian or a scholar and never claim to be one. I just want people to understand what is to happen in this world so they might consider Jesus. My prayer is for people to be saved from Gods ending wrath.

    My thoughts on Revelations is that I want my children and grandchildren and any others to be able to read this great book and get the big picture without all the theological input.  We need to quit taken what man says as absolute truth, and read what God says and believe. The Bible is not based on science, it is based on faith and by studying and praying and listening God will prove Himself by His Holy Spirit that lives within each believer.  We have become spiritually lazy, not studying the scriptures so we do not know what is written.  Let us read what The Word of God says, and live by His commandments so we will have salvation and His peace. Regardless of what we think or how we feel about the Bible and what it has to say about this point in time that we are in, God is still going to do what He says.  Wake up and see that the end times are here.  Make the connection between world events and what the Bible has prophesied will happen, it is here.  I feel for the first time, that I will not see death and that the Rapture is the next event, it is even at the door. Read and Pray!

    May God Richly Bless You All

    Chapter 1 Prologue

    CHAPTER 1

    PROLOGUE

    Revelation of Jesus Christ

    1   The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show unto his servants, even the things which must shortly come to pass: and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John;

    In this verse we find the word Revelation. What does that really mean?  We hear it a lot these days.  Well, it means something revealed that is a surprise and not known before.  This Revelation of Jesus Christ, is presented to John by an angel sent and signified by God, meaning, this is significant information and important to know.  God loves us so dearly that He wants to reveal to us what He is going to do to make everything right and how He is going to deal with the sin and evilness in this old world.  Now let’s continue.

    2 who bare witness of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, even of all things that he saw.

    This simply means John is to bare witness, or in this case record all that he sees of this testimony of Jesus Christ. Now what is a testimony? Something that supports a fact or a claim, in this case Jesus is testifying of Himself and who He is.

    3   Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of the prophecy, and keep the things that are written therein: for the time is at hand.

    Now here is the verse that reveals the blessing from God to those of us that read and keep the things of this book.  We hear the words of the prophecy, but do not understand all of it right away.  We keep the words in our heart and as they are revealed and we see the things of this book being revealed today and throughout history we know the time is at hand, for Jesus to return.  We learn from different people and information that is revealed through different folks of what is really going on.  By keeping the words of this on our hearts, and believing through faith, we can see and understand the meaning by what we see and know of this time, or age, that we are currently in.  The time is at hand.

    Greetings and Doxology

    4 John to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace, from him who is and who was and who is to come; and from the seven Spirits that are before his throne;

    Here we have the greeting to the 7 churches from John.  These churches were located in Asia Minor (Turkey).  Notice how John describes Jesus and who He is.  Who is, meaning current time, who was, past tense or historically speaking, who is to come, meaning future.  He used this type of writing because of the Romans.  He was not allowed to preach or teach the Word of God and the Romans would recognize the message if he wrote it in plain language, so he using a type of Jewish literature known as Apocalyptic form.  This form uses symbolic imagery to communicate its message.  John uses this type of writing because he does not want the Roman Rulers to know what he is saying to the Christians. The world today, according to TV shows and broadcast, say that John was possibly insane, because of the way he was treated by the Romans and his age.  So they say these visions he’s speaking of in Revelations are only dreams or hallucinations, which is ridiculous, because what John is speaking off is also prophesied in the book of Daniel hundreds of years before Jesus is even born. The world today tries to deny everything the bible says, because they cannot believe. Satan has blinded them to only believe his lies of deceit and delusion.  John is writing this book in the first century and can only relay information symbolically based on what he knew.  The weapons and visions seem unbelievable, but apply what he describes into today’s technology and it will make more sense then.  Now animals and numbers have significant meaning and benefit or curse to the Jews and one of them is mentioned here, the number 7, there were seven spirits that were before the throne. The throne is Gods throne, the spirits are the Holy Spirit and the number 7 means perfection and completeness.  So we simply have this statement, God is on the throne, the Holy Spirit and Himself are perfect and complete there is nothing that can be done to make them better.  Another thought on this 7 Spirits before Gods Throne, and I like this better, is that according to Isaiah 11:2 we find a sevenfold description of Gods Holy Spirit, which is, to me better understood.

    5 and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loveth us, and loosed us from our sins by his blood;

    In verse 4, John is greeting the churches and mentions grace and peace from God and the Holy Spirit and now in verse 5 he also includes Jesus Christ.  We now have the completion of the Trinity.  God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit complete in verses 4 and 5.  Now there is no doubt to the churches of what is meant here and its completeness.  Jesus is the faithful witness to us of what He has witnessed in Heaven.  Keep in mind that Jesus was born of a virgin (Mary) and lived on earth with His disciples and never went to heaven until after His death and resurrection.  So now He is saying to the churches that He is a witness about God and heaven and that it is not a fairy tale but all true.  Jesus is the firstborn of the dead, He has a physical body created by God that is perfect and eternal, and our resurrected bodies will be like unto His; He is the ruler of the kings of the earth; Jesus is in control of all governments on earth today and things are occurring in the world today exactly like He wants it to with no exceptions.  Then He states that God loves us and that we are free from our sins based on His blood that was shed for us at Calvary.

    6 and he made us to be a kingdom, to be priests unto his God and Father; to him be the glory and the dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

    We as believers in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, are in the Body of Christ, and sons and daughters of God, we are also heirs in Jesus to be a kingdom and we are priests to His God and Father because we are children of God and brothers and sisters with Jesus.  Jesus is our eternal High Priest, by believing in His death, burial, and resurrection we are placed in the body of Christ and become heirs with him to His kingdom, and priest to God.  We are not like Jesus, there is none like Him, because He is brother to man and yet Son of God, and most importantly He is part of the Holy Trinity.  But instead of being servants to His kingdom, we will be rulers with Him and that is exciting within itself.  Then we have, to him be the glory and the dominion, or honor of what He has done by giving Himself for our sins, and dominion or ruler of all.  God has given Jesus all power, glory and dominion of all creation, heaven and earth.  He is worthy to rule the world and the universe, is just to judge the people of this world, those that trust and believe in Him will be with him, those who will not believe are condemned to hell and damnation for eternity.  Not because of Jesus, but because of the individual decision to not believe.  We all have freedom of choice to do good or bad, we have to love God because we want to, always remember God will not force Himself on us.

    7 Behold, he cometh with the clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they that pierced him; and all the tribes of the earth shall mourn over him. Even so, Amen.

    Throughout the bible, God is seen with clouds around Him or as in the days of Moses in the wilderness, God was seen in the cloud in the day and in a pillar of fire at night.  Clouds signify His majesty and glory.  All peoples of the earth will see Him.  Let’s say that 30 years ago this would have seemed impossible to understand, but today we see events all over the world.  The President goes to a meeting on the other side of the world and I can watch it life in my living room.  I personally believe that when Jesus comes that everyone in heaven and hell are going to see Him in His glory.  Those that crucified Him and pierced Him with spear and nails we see Him in His glory and majesty and they will mourn over Him and be sorry for what they did, but it will not matter then, because they know that He is coming as a judge and ruler instead of a humble loving servant as He did the first time. Even so, no matter what anyone thinks or says, it’s going to happen just like it is stated in the scriptures, Amen.

    8 I am the Alpha and the Omega, saith the Lord God, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.

    Alpha and Omega are Greek letters, A and Z, beginning and ending. Jesus is saying, that He is the beginning and the ending.  Here we have the same identity as in verse 4, present,
