Prologue:

Well. This was it.

Time to decide, would fantasy become reality? I started at the door. Did I have the courage to knock? Heck with that, did I have the courage to knock and then continue? Was I really ready for this?

My stomach flip flopped.

I could feel my watch go tick tock on my wrist. Yet I just stared. He knew I was on the porch. I had heard movement inside the house in response to my steps onto the porch.

We had talked about this and agreed upon a time. Yet he must have understood my indecision. He could have opened the door, but he didn’t. This made me like him that much more.

We both waited
