    Introduction

This is the events of how the felans came about. The stories are told by some of the people involved with the Parks and Winton families. It all began with Jason Winton forcing Cara to be with Jesiah Parks.

You'll hear about the terrible things that Jesiah did to women with the help of Michael Pike. Jesiah's business was a front for the real business that he was running, a fetish business.

He left the fetish business get in the way of the love that he felt for Cara. He abused her until she was forced to have affairs, drinking, and drugs. She overdosed, not by choice, it was an accident.

After the overdose, she died. She was stuck in a dark realm where no one wanted her. She vowed revenge on everyone involved and every family involved. She wanted all the living members of the Parks, Winton's, and Pike families.

Jason Winton regretted forcing them to be together when he realized that Cara did return. But, not as herself as an unrecognizable creature. When she bit Jason and made him to where he would live a life of eternity. He became insane and disappeared.

She continued her vengeance with hate beginning with Michael and Beatrice Pike. She then turned her retaliation to her own daughter Mary. She wanted retribution for being turned into such an evil animal.

Her hate grew toward Jesiah. When she bit him she bit him enough to keep him around for awhile. When he finally did die he wanted to punish her for what she did. He had no remorse for the way he treated her.

When they found out about Demetrius and I they both wanted us. Jesiah wanted us for the power and he wanted us to join the family. Cara, at first, wanted to kill us.

Then she realized that our power would help her take over Night, Pa  and be the leader of the felans. She needed us to help kill Jesiah. We both wanted to kill them all. We wanted the town to be safe from the felans.

When we had Marshall they knew that he would be more powerful than the two of us. Jesiah took him right out from under us. We had to go into Jesiah's portal to get him back. That's when I changed.

Demetrius bit me to bring me back to him. He already had the felan blood cursing through him. After that, we were both more powerful than Cara or Jesiah could ever imagine. We were determined to stop them and save Marshall. Jacob and Moreen tell their account in their own words. They tell the story of how they got here and how they left here.

The rest of them tell what happened in their own way. Even Demetrius and I tell what happened in our own words. From the beginning to the end you'll know everything. You'll know how we all got here and how some of us left. Not knowing if we will have to return.

    Chapter 1: Jason Winton

I was sitting in my study alone. Trying to decide on a mate for Cara. I stumbled upon some articles about a man named Jesiah Parks. He was older than Cara but I figured that he would be perfect for her.

The more articles I read, the more intriguing he became to me. He was a very well respected man. He donated to the community and charities. He practically owned this town.

The only thing that I didn't like about him was the way that he treated women. I thought that maybe it was just gossip. You can never trust what you read. So I found a way to set up a meeting between the two of us.

I also set up a few other meetings. One with Justin Perk. The other with Byron Mills. Both of whom were just as respected as Jesiah. They weren't as well off as Jesiah which concerned me.

I needed someone that had the means to support her. The first meeting was with Justin Perk.

I'm off to meet with Justin, Angelica. I'll see you in a bit. I love you.

Alright, Jason. I love you too.

I entered the gentleman's club and knew right away who Justin was. He was very presentable.

Justin, I presume, I said while extending my hand to shake his.

Yes, sir. Nice to meet you. Mr. Winton.

    Nice to meet you.

We ordered some drinks and food. Once we finished eating, I began to question him.

Let's get down to business, Justin. As you know I am trying to find someone for my daughter, Cara.

    Yes, sir.

Tell me a little about your self. Like what do you do for a living? How old are you?

I graduated college with a major in CPA. I'm twenty-two-years old. I have my own home. I am also working on becoming a partner in my company.

What are looking for in a woman? I asked.

I only want someone that I can relate to. Someone that I can love and someone that will love me. He answered me unfazed by the questioning.

That's good. Cara is a very special lady. She donates a lot of time to charity. What do you think about a woman who does this?

I think that it's wonderful. But, I also think that a family should be a priority over charity. I would like my wife to be home for me when I get home from work.

Alright, thank you, Justin. I'll be in touch.

    Thank you, Mr. Winton.

I thought that Justin was okay. I was concerned that he was more about making money and himself then he was having a family with Cara.

My next meeting was with Byron Mills. The day came for me to meet him. We met at a fancy restaurant. I walked over to him.

Byron, Mr. Winton. Nice to meet you. I said.

He stood up to shake my hand, Nice to meet you. He said.

He already had drinks on the table. I noticed immediately that he was drunk.

Let me start by asking you, do you get drunk all of the time? I said sternly.

No, sir. Not at all. He said.

Why would you get drunk knowing that we were meeting?

I'm nervous, Mr. Winton, sir. I'm only twenty-five and I'm not sure how this will work out. I'm an architect and I don't have much time for girlfriends or families. He answered.

So you don't want to meet, Cara? I asked with confusion.

I would love to meet her. As I said I'm not sure that I'll have the time.

Fair enough. Thank you for your time.

Thank you, sir. I'm sorry that I wasted your time.

I'm just glad that you were honest with me. I respect that. You didn't waste my time.

That scratched Byron off of the list. Now I have one more and that is Jesiah. Meeting with him is very important. He has little  time, so it is very precious. If I don't make this meeting,

who knows when I'll get another chance.

Now that it was time for me to meet with Jesiah I wanted to look my best. I also needed to act my best. I could not screw this up. Justin is the only other choice that I have. I wasn't blown away by him. I had no doubt that he wasn't right for Cara.

I really wanted what was best for her. I truly believed that was Jesiah. They both did a lot for the community and charities. They were both well known around town. Them being in a relationship would be the envy of the people.

As I was getting ready I heard Angelica, Jason, you look very handsome. Who are you off to meet with today?

Jesiah Parks, I said with a smile.

Oh, aren't you concerned that he may be a little old for Cara?

Not really. They have a few things in common.

What could they possibly have in common?

The community, they both donate their time and volunteer for charities.

And you believe that is enough? What about the articles that say he isn't very kind to women? This doesn't persuade your decision? She asked concernedly.

No, most of the stuff printed is gossip. It's there just to pull readers in. I answered without fear.

You still have Justin and Byron in mind right?

Byron is out. Justin is a maybe.

I didn't know Byron was out. What happened?

We'll talk about this later. I don't want to be late.

Alright, we can talk later. She said disappointingly.

Please, don't mention this to Cara. I'll tell her after I make my decision.

    I won't. Good luck.

I gave her a kiss and headed to Jesiah's office for our meeting. On my way there I only hoped that Jesiah would be the right person. Cara needed someone to support her and care for her. The more I thought, the more I knew Justin wasn't the right person.

I walked into the building and the receptionist asked, How may I help you, sir?

I'm Jason Winton. I'm here for a meeting with Mr. Parks. I said with a smile.

Aw, yes, Mr. Winton. Mr. Parks has been awaiting your arrival. I'll get him right away, sir.

Thank you, I read her name tag, Beatrice, I appreciate that.

I took a seat in the waiting area. Beatrice came back out, Follow me, Mr. Winton. Mr. Parks is ready for you.

I followed her to Jesiah's office. He stood up and said, Thank you, Beatrice. You may go. She closed the door behind her. Jesiah continued, Nice to meet you, Mr. Winton.

Pleasure to meet you, Mr. Parks.

Please, call me Jesiah. He said with a smile.

Jeisah, as you know, I'm looking for the perfect guy for Cara.

Yes, Mr. Winton. I'm a little confused though. This isn't very common in these times. May I ask why you are doing this?

First, call me Jason. The reason I am doing this is that it is a family tradition. My family has done this for hundreds of years. I would like to continue with it. I said.

I see. Can you tell me  a bit about, Cara?

She's loving, energetic, and caring. She also donates a lot of her time to help charities and she volunteers at the hospital in the children ward.

I love that. Let me tell you about myself. I help the community in any way that I can. I donate a lot of money to the local charities. I am not the monster that the media makes me out to be.

I was hoping that you would say that. How do I know that you're telling the truth? I asked seriously.

Here's a list of all the women that I have dated. You are more than welcome to talk to them. If that will ease your mind.

I looked him in the eyes for a moment. I thought if he was willing to do this he must be telling the truth.

I appreciate that. There is no need for me to take those phone numbers. If you're lying, why would you offer that information? I answered jokingly.

He winked and said, You do have a point. Why would I do that? Well, Mr. Winton, I am sorry but business calls.

I stood up and gave him a handshake, Thank you for your time. When I decide I'll be in touch.

Great, just give Beatrice a call and check my availability. I will be more than happy to meet with you again.

Very well. I might be seeing you soon. I said and headed out the door with a smile on my face.

I was smiling the whole way home. I was really impressed by Jesiah. I thought that he was perfect for Cara. The age difference didn't matter to me. I knew that Cara would like him. Jesiah was my pick.

I yelled for Angelica, I'm home. Where are you?

In the kitchen, Jason. She yelled back.

    Where's Cara?

At the hospital. Why is there something wrong?

Just the opposite. I've got great news. I decided on a man for her. I said cheerfully.

You did? Who did you choose? She asked concernedly.

    Jesiah.

I don't know about this, Jason. He is too out of control for Cara. Do you really believe that love for the community and charity is enough? Do you really think that this relationship is going to work?

I do believe that it will work. He has the same interest at heart as Cara. And he reassured me that the gossip was just that gossip.

How do you know that he was telling the truth? Anyone can say something is not true. She continued to question me.

He handed me a list of all the women that he dated. He told me that I could call them If I wanted. I answered nonchalantly.

Did you take the list? How do you know it was all of them?

No, I didn't take the list, Angelica. I'm done with this conversation. I would like to eat now.

Fine, Jason. But if this backfires, just remember that I warned you.

"I'm not concerned. If it does backfire I'll take full

    responsibility."

As we were eating she was looking up at me. When she finally spoke she said, I need you to do me a favor.

    What's that? I asked irritated.

Will you please speak with Justin one more time? For our sake and Cara's sake.

Alright, I will talk to him one more time. Maybe I can get he and Cara to go on a date before I make my decision. I answered.

That would mean so much to me. I would feel a lot better about this whole thing.

I will do anything that you ask of me.

Thank you so much. I am only looking out for Cara.

Not a problem, love, I said sweetly.

The next day, I honored Angelica's wishes. I contacted Justin and asked him if he would like to go on a date with Cara. He was more than happy to do so.

I yelled for Cara to join me in the study. She sat in the chair across from me.

I looked at her and said, I want you to go on a date.

With who father? She asked with sad eyes.

With Justin Perk. I have another in mind but you won't know who it is until I choose.

    Alright, father. I will go.

Great, I want you to look your best and be on your best behavior. Do you understand me?

Yes, father I understand. May I be excused now? She asked depressingly.

    You may.

A few days went by and Justin came for Cara. He was a very well presented gentleman. My pick was still Jesiah though. I only set this date up for Angelica.

    Cara, I yelled, Justin's here.

She walked down the steps gracefully and curtsied to Justin. I must say I was relieved and impressed. Cara had a way of defying everything that I said. In this instance, she did exactly as I told her.

She was so breathtaking that Justin could not remove his eyes from her. He said, "Cara, nice to meet you. I'm Justin

    Perk."

Nice to meet you, Justin. You're very handsome. She said gracefully.

You're very beautiful. Are you ready to go?

I looked at the both of them and said, Enjoy your night. I looked at Cara, Remember what I told you.

Yes, father. I will be on my best behavior.

I watched as the two of them walked to the car arm and arm. I had to admit they did look good together. I had to wait until they returned to see how it went and how Cara liked him. I went to my study and Angelica knocked on the door.

May I come? She asked quietly.

Sure, my love. What can I do for you? I said lovingly.

I liked Justin. Tell me again what you didn't like about him.

I think he is more concerned about his career. He doesn't care about charity too much. Not like Cara does. It concerns me that he just wants a housewife. You and I both know that is not for Cara.

I guess we'll have to wait until she gets home for her opinion. I want to thank you for giving him a chance.

Anything to please you, my love, I said with a sweet smile.

I am going to prepare dinner. I'll get you when it is ready.

She walked out and closed the door behind her. I sat there thinking about what she meant to me. She was my everything, my world, and my life. I could only hope that Cara found the same thing with the person that I picked for her.

This was a very hard decision for me. I wanted someone good for her. Someone that can take care of her. I hoped that I made the right choice for her.

Angelica and I were eating dinner when Cara arrived home. I asked her, How did your date go?

I had fun but Justin was more into himself than he was me.

What do you mean? I asked surprised by the comment.

All he talked about was himself and his job.

Angelica asked her, Did he even ask anything about you.

"Oh, he did, mother. The only problem was when I started

to answer him, he talked over me and talked about himself some more."

I'm so sorry, Cara. Your mother thought that it would be a good idea for you guys to go on a date. I cut in.

Yes, I'm sorry too, Cara. Justin seemed like a nice person. Angelica said to her.

It's okay. May I go to my room? I'm kind of tired. She asked us.

    You may go, I said.

After she left Angelica looked at me and said, I really thought that it would be a good idea to have those two go on a date.

At least we know now. Jesiah is the only logical choice. I said hiding my smile.

I'm still not sure about that. But you have been right so far. So, I'll agree with you. Let Jesiah know.

    I'll let him know immediately.

I excused myself from the dinner table and headed to my study. I wanted to let Jesiah know my decision as soon as possible. I knew that he was a very busy man and it was very difficult to get in touch with him.

Beatrice answered, Hello, you have reached Parks Enterprises. This is Beatrice speaking. How may I help you?

Hi, Beatrice. It's Jason Winton. How are you today?

I'm great, Mr. Winton. How may help you?

Is Jesiah in? I have an important matter to discuss with him.

He's in a meeting right now. Can I have him call you back?

Yes, that would be great. I'll be expecting to hear from him. Thank you, Beatrice.

"You're welcome, Mr. Winton. Have a great
