I would like to thank everyone who has been with me from the very beginning. As far back as 2nd grade, I’ve always dreamt about publishing my own book. As a child I grew up reading and was influenced by the likes of R.L. Stine, J.K. Rowling and Stephen King. I always used to surround myself with books and eventually, I began to develop my craft to become a writer in my own right. With this book, my childhood dream has finally come true!

There are many people that I would like to acknowledge, but first I would like to thank the Lord God, our Father and Savior, for my life and all of the blessings He has bestowed upon me for the past 25 years, and for keeping me in a positive state of mind throughout the trials I’ve endured. Lord God Almighty, You are forever appreciated!

My father, Andre Bedgood, thank you for keeping me in line as I grew up, encouraging me to get good grades, and inspiring me to pursue my dreams! It was your influence that kept me out of trouble and to become my own man. Thank you for being the perfect example of a hardworking man of Faith and never giving up in the face of adversity!!! Had it not been for you, I wouldn’t be here today! I love you!

We create art as an escape from our surroundings and to share with the world the things that are going through our minds and our hearts. Art can manifest itself as anything; sculpting, drawing, cooking, writing, painting, spoken-word, etc. I choose to write about the things that I see and feel in poetry and rap form because it helps me to communicate my thoughts in a thoughtful and artistic manner. However you choose to express yourself put your heart and soul into it! Hold nothing back! Let the world know what’s in your heart without fear of backlash! Art is expression, so express yourself to the fullest!

Dear God,

Please give me the strength I need to face the challenges that the world throws at me. I know that it is only through you that I can be saved and gain eternal salvation in Heaven. I pray that through my struggles, through the words that I write, that others may hopefully be inspired to pursue their goals and persevere through any challenge. I ask that you help to humble my heart, so that I can love as you have love, walk as you’ve walked, and to live as you’ve lived. On January 23rd 2011, I gave my life to you and promised to be your disciple for eternity. Ever since then, I have been tested in many ways, mainly on the family front.
