About this ebook

Former gang leader, high school dropout and fallen victim of his past. Dymonique reveals his drastic lifestyle after learning the disturbing news of his fathers death. At the age of seven, Burton found himself at the edge of the cliff of life when he discovered that his father had just died after his third consecutive heart attack. Not knowing how to deal with the following circumstances and devastating thoughts and memories that suddenly aroused, Burton quickly found himself desolated and confused with life.
Though his thoughts became unfathomable and suddenly deprived him of enjoying the sincere and pure experience of the normal youth, he managed to accumulate each thought and experience and formulate it into poetry. This allowed him to suddenly discover freedom.
In He Finally Spoke, Burton provides graphic descriptions of his childhood and horrifying experiences as a youth growing up in the darkness of evil. Mental abuse, deprivation, rejection and tragedy plagued his early years, yet through sheer force of character and tenacity he was able to overcome these obstacles and ascended to become a profound leader and the voice for the future generations.

    DEDICATION

At this moment I want to acknowledge anyone and everyone who has ever supported me in any way. Many People forget or lose sight of those who were there with them in the beginning, along the way or even at the end of their journey. I will not! This is my recognition to you for your contribution to my success!

To the Seven Supporting Piers in my life:

To my Heavenly Father- Who sent His Darling Son Jesus to die for my sins. Who placed me in and brought me through so many storms. Who Blessed me with the right and wrong people in my life for specific reasons, who gave me a mighty story to tell, and who provided me with an Opportunity of a life time and so much more. THANK YOU!

    To My Family

Mary Simon, My grandmother who was always the spiritual provider for the entire family. I truly believe the only way my family has survived all of this time is through prayer. Through all of the trials and triumphs, there had to be someone somewhere praying at all times. My grandmother has always been the person that fought day in and day out to keep our family together

Ezra Banks, My Grandfather who taught me that if you want to succeed in anything you must first have the desire to work, then once you accomplish your goal, continue working to do even better and perfect your gift.

Barbara Burton, My mother who raised me being a tough-love mother, many of my experiences I contribute to you because of the way you raised me. Although back then I couldn’t seem to understand why, now I see that it was all needed in order for me to acquire characteristics such as Love, Respect, Integrity and a sense of Seriousness. My mother is my main source of oxygen and the reason I look forward to every day, I can’t see myself ever being without my Mother.

Edward Burton, My deceased Father who I love dearly. The very last memory of my father was one night when we were sitting in the living room on the couch, my father was helping me read a book for class. That night my father decided to take a break from the reading to talk to me about life. I remember word for word his message. He told me that he would not always be here with me but whether he’s there or not, no matter what, Always listen to my mother. He told me to always take care of my mother, my family, go to school and get a great education and don’t fight unless I have to and most of all always give back to others. I can honestly say, I know my father is proud of everything I have accomplished thus far.

Nealie Stephens, My Step dad, a man who taught me the definition of hard work and dedication.

My Sisters Theresa Burton, Deondrea Burton and Regina Stephens for being my motivation, I love and admire you all so much.

My Brothers Kory Burton who taught me so many things I needed to know about life, my example of right and wrong and the shield that protected me most of my life that allowed me to become who I am today. To Ka’ron Stephens, Ke’von Stephens, Alonzo Stephens, Garfield Stephens for being my greatest inspirations and for their love and support.

    To My Mentors

Kendrick Gibson- Who told me nothing happens just to happen, there is a reason for everything and there is a reason you made it out of your past storms, so get busy and take advantage of every opportunity.

Frederick V. Roberts- Who told me, don’t talk about what you want to do, just do it.

Travis C. Reed- Who taught me to take people for who they are, and live life the way I desired to.

Christopher J. Shelton- Who showed me that if you put your mind to it, then anything is possible.

Courtney R. Allen- If you say something, make sure you mean it and live by it.
