This is
dedicated to my son Charles Jackson:
There have been many times when I wanted to be there, but could not. Everyone makes mistakes in life, but it is all about choices. I want you to know that being a Father that you can respect, and a man that you can look up to and have him there to help give you a blueprint to manhood in life is the choice that I am making. Son, I will always choose you. Not only for you, but for me as your dad wanting the best out of life for you. It is not only flesh and blood, but heart that makes us father and son. There is no love on earth greater than that between the two of us. It is my duty as your father to give you a good chance in this life and to give you someone to pattern after. As your dad, I want you to know that when I can not be present to hold your hand, I will always have your back. I want to give you the greatest gift anyone could give another person, which is Trust & Loyalty. Know that I believe in you son. I want to be a Father that makes you know that you can follow my example, not just advice.Nothing is more dear to me than you son, and I want to be your living example so that you don’t have to look to television, magazines, or books for a hero, but that you already have one right in front of you.
I Love You Jabre.
Introduction
Charles Monopoly Jackson
I grew up as a Chicago native on the south side, a loving mother who worked hard as a government employee, and a loving father who worked in construction and took part in building some of Chicago’s legendary architecture. I completed elementary and high school and went on to college to accomplish a few degrees. Despite of, I had my far share of run ins with the law & incarceration. I have never once complained about my life or the decisions that I made in it. This book has been a long time coming, and is dedicated to my loving family in Chicago, Minnesota, Atlanta, Vegas & Florida. I began writing in Faribault Minnesota, as a way of getting my story out about everyday struggles, things that I had seen and experienced, or the people I encountered during these times. What I was utilizing as a hobby soon became a passion, a need to be heard, and a drive daily to be consistent and staying committed to putting words to paper with more and more to come. This read
