About this ebook
Laney Lagarde
My name is Laney Lagarde. I was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. I was raised in Richmond, California, and now I live in Spring, Texas. I am a mother of two amazing children, Alexus and Jamil. I am a sterile-processing technician. I am a volunteer at a women’s shelter. My purpose for this book is to help women struggling with depression, rejection, homelessness, and suicide. I want them to remember that prayer changes things! I know that it’s hard to see good during a horrible situation, but you will make it out of your storms if you faint not! You can’t give up! Giving up is an easy way out. You must continue to fight if you want to come out of your storms stronger than you started.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT
F IRST AND FOREMOST, I want to thank my heavenly Father for bringing me out of each and every storm. I want to thank my two amazing children, Jamil and Alexus, for being my inspiration to not give up on life. Thanks to my mom for giving me life. Thanks to my dad for being my best friend. Thanks to my two adopted moms, Cherita and Kara, for teaching me to be the strong woman that I am today. Thanks to my support system, James Miles. You just have no idea how much you mean to me and my kids. Stacey, Nikki, Patrice, Osha, Tyrone, Jerekhye, Rene, Tanya Harvey, Mrs. Rogers, my cousins Nicole, Najah, and Tamieka, you all played so many different roles in my life, but nevertheless, I couldn’t make it through these storms without you all. Thanks to all my siblings, my friends, and my family. Thanks to everyone that either created a storm or played a part in my storm. You helped me become stronger and wiser. special thanks to all the organizations that helped me during my time of need.
To all the women that have dealt with depression, suicide attempts, rejection, homelessness, and bad relationships. Ladies, I want you all to know that you are not alone. I’m praying for you all. I love you and so does God. Remember that you are more than conquerors! Ladies, it’s okay to cry, scream, and shout, but once that’s over, you have to pray while wiping those tears, fix your makeup, readjust your crown, and keep it moving. God will keep you in perfect peace as long as your mind stay on Him. Now I need you to walk boldly with your head held high and walk into your purpose, even if you have to walk it alone. Learn to thank God for your storms and your minor setbacks! Storms were created to make you and to build your character, not break you.
