Chapter 1
Back in 17th century there was a king and queen in Utopia. The king and queen were very happy but they longed to have a child of their own. They spent many hours in consultation with the officials for advice and guidance of how they could conceive this child they so desperately wanted. Unfortunately, it had become common knowledge that they desired a child.
There were a lot of people jealous of the king and queen of Utopia. They were angry with them for their splendor and intoxicating love that made the whole world sparkle with beautiful delight. And the darkness was always trying to ruin their happiness.
The Queen often dreamt about the joy of having a baby. She wanted so much to give all the love in the world.
The King was feeling anxious that his dreams of being a father would not happen, and that he would be sad not being able to give Queen Esther the child she so desperately wanted. Esther did not want to make him unhappy so she kept the feelings of sadness from him.
When she was alone, she cried to God in prayer so hard that her tears engulfed her, and she begged God for her to have a child.
She heard nothing back as if He was ignoring her. She repeatedly went back on her knees telling Him that if she could have a child, she would bring this child up in His faith and she would love that child to the ends of the earth.
Esther sobbed and sobbed as she could hardly stand and was feeling so much pain and suffering inside that her request was denied. And then not feeling comforted went home sad and was downcast that she was not going to get a child.
Esther rolled into bed not bothering to get undressed and was in such a state of lonely, empty depression that she had lost the will to live crying on the pillows feeling like her life was over.
The night fell and gloom was falling all around her peachy skin, dry and dull with exhaustion. The lovely princess was in a state of utter darkness. She couldn’t sleep, her depression was so deep and morning had no sunlight at all. God could not hear her it seemed.
The days passed and the King thought his wife was dying. He was struck with grief and there seemed to be no cure.
Suddenly the sound of thunder all around the palace broke out. Lightning struck every window and the storm was violent all around. Rain fell hard against the ground and the river water swept all over the palace walls.
The King was becoming alarmed. What is going? he asked.
No one replied, no one knew what was happening at all.
Then with amazing grace the storm
