Chapter 1

All the town was in a fuzz. The queen has given birth. Her newborn babies are two twin girls.

Queen: I can see the sky from the window, the queen whispered then she touched one of her daughters and said, This girl will be Sierra. When she opened the towel, she found that she is the girl with the Jewel engraved in her chest.

What about the other one? There is no Jewel in her chest. She smiled gently.

I will be calling you Jewel. I don’t want you to be jealous, my dear. Both of you are my precious Jewels. Then a maid entered the room with a three years old boy in her arms. The Queen smiled to him.

Over the years, Sierra was treated as the next queen who will inherit the kingdom with everything it has since she is the one with the Jewel of mana. The one who rules shall obtain both knowledge and power. She obtained power since birth. What left is the knowledge that the kingdom provided for her all these years. She can use magic as much as she wants by using the power of the Jewel.

She had to eat certain foods with less calories and high-quality ingredients. Make sure no poison has been poured inside it.

She had to eat in a certain way politely. Her times for eating are fixed in a certain hour. She has to sleep at 9 pm to proceed her lessons at 5 am. It was a pain in the neck to her, but she was pleased that she could be of some help when the time is needed. They introduce her to a new poison every month to get used to it and her body won’t be affected by it again. Also, to know how to deal with a poison if she got hit by one. It is done every month to make sure she recovers completely from the last poison. Her sister was always worried about her. She seems to feel the same pain as her. Jewel usually comes just before Sierra’s sleep time to talk to her, but Sierra is always worn out from the sword training that she gets really tired and sleep immediately after a warm shower. She only gets two days’ vacation per week to do what she likes.

Since she was a child, she was meant to marry her cousin Aniston and alongside him, she will rule the kingdom and it will turn to Queendom. She could not swallow the idea of her getting married so soon. She cared about books and sword fighting more often. Aniston is the high commander of the knights. What happened is that the day before her marriage, she stayed all night thinking about how this day will change most of the things in her life. She couldn’t help but keep thinking. And that made her very dizzy when she entered the hall. In the middle of the wedding, she didn’t say ‘yes’ and kept staring at Aniston for few minutes… He was holding her hands and her hands were shakings… she actually said ‘no’. that’s what the rumors said. Suddenly, from embarrassment and nervousness, she fainted and couldn’t open her eyes. When she woke up again later wearing her wedding dress. Always with his serious look. She noticed that a necklace in her neck with a diamond key. Her mom is the one who put that on her. She said it was important to her. But looking at Aniston, he wasn’t pleased at all.

Sierra always admired her fiancé. Anyway, he always paid her a visit before the marriage to see her and then go report to the king. He used to dance with her in the balls. They spoke formally with each other. He used to speak with her but not that much because he is a quiet person in nature. He is very quiet, serious, has a sharp look in his eye and like a stilled water. He loved her. But after the incident, his visits became decent and sometimes he comes to report without visiting her. She used to think that her destiny was absolute, and nothing will change it. She will marry him for sure and stay prisoned in the palace for all eternity. Until she realized that she could be free and do what she wants in any time she please.

Sierra is a very polite girl ‘high class.’ The way she speaks is very demure. However, she is very strong when it comes to sword fighting.

Jewel her twin sister is very gentle. She studied indoor more than Sierra. She mastered more spells and have a huge knowledge inside her head. She is engaged to her cousin Richard. Those two are supposed to marry once Sierra and Aniston get married. But all those delaying that happened with Sierra and Aniston, they should delay as well.

The new generation of princes and princesses, Sierra, Jewel, Aniston and finally Richard. A request from Queen Nora that the four should have a tattoo of the royal family symbol behind the shoulder.

The story begins…

One day, when the whole kingdom was celebrating the princesses’ 19th birthday; all the streets were filled food. Although, the royal family cannot drink wine at all. Their body can be affected just by the smell. Anyway, everything in the street was sold in pairs.

Sierra had a fever from the hard training she took the day before. Nevertheless, she tried to have fun in her birthday. Although she knew that she would spend the day whether greeting the guests or with her fiancé who is supposed to become a king after their marriage. However, she thought that she might do something much fun.

Sierra: She looked to the mirror and smiled while putting the ribbon on her hair. Let’s give the city a visit. Come, Benti.

Benti is her pet. It’s a cat of the borenos breed.

In the palace, the knights were saluting the king. Richard, Axen, Oval, Kent, and Landis.

The king: Where is Aniston?

While Richard looks the other way with a smile in his face, he knows where Commander Aniston is.

A ringing bell around the white cat’s neck. A girl with dress holds her (Princess Jewel). Smiling while looking toward the window.

Now, the story begins when Hero, a young man was moving in the street of the capital Crystalina, the capital of lights. He just reached the city. He was in his way to buy a medicine for the citizen of the town he came from. The whole town was infected by itching small pimples, so they asked him to bring it since he did not get infected by it for some reason. It was the princesses’ birthday, everyone seems so happy to sell things in pairs two ice creams, two Cakes, two candies, two lollipop, two marshmallows. Since the capital is famous with saffronia and cinnamonia {Sierra loves saffronia and Jewel loves cinnamonia}. The sweets were all filled with those two unique flavors. Cakes, candies, lollipop, marshmallows, and baklavas. Hero was wondering around the town to get something to eat and then search for the medicine and head back to his town. However, suddenly, someone with a beautiful cloak and hood collided with him.

Hero: Whoa, be careful. Huh. Who’s this person? And she ran away.

Sierra: Sorry, she whispered before running away.

Hero: Picked a necklace with a key. Wait, you dropped something! And he went behind the person who collided with him.

The key was made from diamond. Anyone would take it and sell it, but his manners will not be that low to do such a thing.

He tried to follow the person, but it seems he lost track.

Hero: How am I supposed to return this thing now?

Ten minutes after that, Hero heard a voice.

Let me go! I don’t want to go back now!

Soldiers: We are sorry, princess, but these are the orders from commander Aniston himself and he is waiting for you in the carriage.

Townspeople: Gosh, just leave her alone… The princess can’t even have fun on her own birthday.

Hero: The princess? And the commander? whispering to himself. He smiled. This will be fun.

Sierra: Let me go, please! Then she stopped struggling and walked quietly. Although the guards were grabbing her so hardly, but they soothed a bit when she gave up. She couldn’t face Aniston who was inside the carriage that is why she kept walking and looking down.

Hero: The princess’s birthday.

Woman: Here, everyone is celebrating. She placed a red rose necklace in his head.

Hero looked at the palace and smiled.

Inside the carriage. Aniston was looking outside. Sierra was merging her hands and looking down. Once they ewached the palace, Aniston got out of the carriage first and offered his hand to help her descend the carriage.

Aniston: Here… he offered his hand.

Sierra grabbed his hand thank you…

Aniston whispered to her get ready…

Sierra nodded…

At the palace after two hours, the princesses are fully ready for the party.

Jewel: What did you see in the city? Really?

Sierra: So many sweets and dolls were sold in pairs. It was fun.

Jewel: I want to see it too.

Sierra: sigh… I really wanted to stay for a little longer… she smiled.

Jewel: The last time we tried to sneak to the city was ended being punished for a week.

Sierra: Don’t worry, I will take care of this. She looked at her with a cheerful look.

Jewel smiled. alright…

Sierra: Now let’s go.

The hall was full of nobles. Dancing, drinking. Sierra was sitting on a chair.

Sierra: Talking in her mind (sigh it is not fun at all).

Aniston: He approached Sierra, whispered to her ears and asked her for an audience in the terrace.

Sierra: Mother. Can I?

Queen: Go ahead, dear. ♥ She did not hesitate to let her daughter have a private talk with Aniston.

Amelia and Maximillian, Commander Aniston’s parent.

Amelia whispered to Nora (I had a dream about… Balamar…) She was worried.

Sierra went to the balcony holding hands with Aniston.

Everyone in the palace: 1… 2… 3… Now!

Both princesses blew off the candles and made their wishes.

Sierra: In her heart. I wish to be free and journey all over the world. Then she looked at her sister and noticed a new necklace in her chest.

Hero found someone with a smoke bomb. The bomber seemed to be amateur, so he blew the plan when Hero caught him.

Aniston: Who’s there?

Hero: Well, it seems that those are aiming to no good, sir… Sarcasm. Big smile in his face. Very confident.

In the hall, everyone was enjoying the circus, magic performance, and the food.

The host was lively representing the show.

The host: Ladies and gentlemen, today is the twin princesses’ birthday. We will show you something you have never ever seen before.

Performance after performance and the night was filled with happiness and laughter.

The twins were sitting next to each other happily watching the performance. Benti and Baydoon were uncomfortable and sitting like a catloaf… Cat loaf. Baydoon is sitting on Jewel while Benti is sitting near Sierra on the couch."

Sierra: What’s wrong with Benti?

Jewel: Baydoon is anxious as well. They don’t seem to enjoy the crowd much.

Sierra: Maybe they want to go to the bathroom. Guards, please escort them to our rooms.

Jewel: Girls, follow the guards.

Both cats: Meawrrrr. And they follow the guards quietly.

Prince Richard stepped toward the princesses. First, he reached Sierra and kissed the back of her hand. ’Happy birthday, Sierra!"

Sierra: She was delighted. Rich!

Richard: looked at Jewel. The stone suits you. he meant the gift he gave her, the moon stone necklace.

Jewel: It looks pretty~.

Richard gave her a warm smile. Later, we shall meet under the big tree, just the two of us my gemstone… he always calls her ‘gemstone’

Jewel: I can’t wait. With a kind smile on her face.

Guard: Excuse my intrusion prince Richard. he whispered to Richard.

Richard: he was startled. Got it. Then looked at the twins and smiled. I won’t take long. Never leave the ballroom. then he left.

The princesses continued enjoying the performance.

Performance: Come here, princess. And he was aiming for Jewel.

Sierra: Smiled at her.

Jewel was walking slowly, and he offered his hand to hold the princess’s hand but…

Aniston: He opened the door furiously. We caught the rat. He caught Hero and brought him there.

Sierra: You? In the dark back there in the balcony, she couldn’t see his face clearly but she remembered him. He is the one who she collided with in the city.

Aniston: Do you think I will believe your story of the bomber.

Hero: If I came to make a catastrophe, I should come with a sword not a necklace. I don’t have anything in my possession. He meant the key made from diamond. He was holding the necklace of the princess she dropped in the town.

Sierra: W-where did you find it. I thought I lost it forever.

Hero: It dropped from you when you collided with me in the city earlier.

Aniston: LIAR!

Hero: Tsk, don’t shout in my ears. What a pain in the neck you are just let me go already!

Aniston: Now we caught the culprit, all of you, please enjoy the party.

Jewel grabbed the hand of the host and suddenly a smoke appeared around her.

Sierra was resting her cheek on her hand and looking at the show smiling.
