My name is Shilpa Makwana. I never thought I would be a writer at first. I thought I was going to be a sports person until I was inspired by fiction books, like Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. I liked those books because of the way they express the way of life in a unique expression of Western culture in fiction and nonfiction format.

    The Big Ceremony

Long time ago there was a planet, named E’yrs. Princess Andriana Spectrum and Prince Sedric Spectrum were fighting against the most powerful wizard, name Lord Victurm Mythos. The battle was caused by the Sakarii Stone which was held by Princess Andriana. The sight of the battle had a horrible impact because too many people had died and the atmosphere was unhandily breathable, some people were injured, half of the X - Villions failed. And the most important, Kaiizans (wizard) and Stre’izians (witches), they were dead. At the end of the battle, Prince Sedric and Princess Andriana lost the expected fight along with the unborn baby. Somewhere, out of nowhere, there was a fairy appeared magically out from a tree, Queen Lavender Crystalblossom. ‘Ariana, Ariana.’ Ariana was sitting at the park bench in Cravendellri and the fairy appeared sitting beside her. ‘Ariana, I am Queen from Zatrickstar Island, in the very far away in E’yrs and I have come here to tell you about your prophecy, the power to the next key, the power where no can harm you.’ she said in a beautiful sweet voice, sounded like a little girl,

There was a knock on the door. ‘Ariana dear wake up sweetheart, breakfast is ready,’ said Kate Swan. ‘Okay mother, I will be out in a minute.’ she said,

As Ariana rose from her sleep, she sat up straight against the wall with a pillow behind her back; she wondered what the dream was about. She thought about what that fairy had said, what did she mean by the prophecy and what power, she then gazed at the wall opposite of her bed,

Ariana worn a sky blue nightdress with white cotton collar around her neck, she looked very beautiful but sad, she had a horrible life at home. Her father always bullied her, he never let her go to school, she never gained any qualifications but she had got one thing that keeps her confidence up high, by working in her own market, where she sold fruits, vegetables and other things. She gained confidence by talking to random customers and also had a sister but she does not know where about she was or if she’s dead. Ariana had come out of her bedroom, she then went into the living room and then into the dining room, where she sat beside her mother on her right. The mother was sitting in the middle between Ariana and John. They all ate their breakfast; their breakfast was pancakes with golden syrup topping and for drinks. Ariana drank orange juice, Kate and John drank apple coffee. Ariana had got out of her sit; she went back into her bedroom to fetch her handbag which was behind her bedroom door. ‘Bye mother… And father,’ she said. ‘Ohi you, come here, we have decided to get you married and you will get married to my choice, you got that and I will find the perfect man for you, and now get out.’ he said with rudeness,

Ariana felt sick, pain to her heart, for what she just heard and then she stood at her doorstep outside, and she tried to hold her tears back until she reaches to her market. She stepped inside her market, walked slowly towards the back room, she then hanged up her bag onto the hook behind the door, she then stepped back out of the back room and out onto the main shop floor towards her cash register. ‘Hello my friend and how are you,’ said Stuart Carter. ‘I am not fine… she cried, my father said I have to be forced to get married… and could not say anything; I was so frightened to tell him… I don’t know… what to do,’ said Ariana with tears falling down to her cheeks. ‘Hey come here, it is okay my dear. Stuart Carter gave her a lovely brotherly hug, telling her everything will be okay. You have to be strong my friend, I know it is hard and not knowing where your sister is, but one day you shall have all the happiness you deserve, I guarantee you will be happy and now why don’t you go to the park and have a nice cup of tea with shortbread biscuits,’ he suggested, as he was comforting her. ‘Thank you, I will never ever forget you and I will try to stand up for myself.’ she smiled at him and trying to hold her tears back,

Stuart poured the tea into the flask, he then tightens the flask lid, and he then placed the flask and shortbread biscuits into a picnic basket. ‘Here you go my dear and I hope you will enjoy them and remember be strong, and you will find your happiness, okay.’ he said, giving her a brotherly kiss on her forehead before she leaves the market with the basket around her arm,

Ariana left the market, she walked slowly towards the park, she passed few villages, she turned left and over the small bridge, she then arrived at the park, she kept on walking until she reaches to her favourite spot, the big lake. She sat down beside the lake, she looked down in the reflection of the lake, she was gazing at the lake, feeling sad because she could not fight back, and she missed her sister so much, she hoped her sister still could be alive and also wondering about that fairy, wondering why I was the special one and what prophecy.

Ariana lay back down onto the grass; she looked up at the sky, watching the clouds change shapes. She spotted one cloud that looks like a flower; she saw another cloud that shaped like a heart, another one that shaped like a unicorn eating the cloud - grass, another one that shaped of the fairy that Ariana had dreamt earlier about the prophecy. She closed her eyes for few a second and… the battle was unbelievable, it was so horrible to bare, so many people were injured, so many people were dead, especially Princess Andriana she fell from the horse and onto the ground and then, that fairy had reappeared again from nowhere. ‘Ariana Swan you are the next blood related and will be able to access the great power, the power that can destroy all evil destructions,’ said the fairy. ‘YOU ARE GOING TO GET MARRIED WHENEVER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT, YOU STUPID CHILD,’ her father shouted. ‘I don’t want to be forced to get married, I want to choose my own love life,’ she tried to fight back. ‘You will never have your choice and if you sneakily go behind my back, I will lock in your room until you get married.’ he shouted at her,

Ariana had woken up from her an awful dream; she sat up straight thinking and wondered. ‘What does that fairy meant by me, destroying the evils, what power will I have? Why I am having these strange dreams about my sister and how did she become a princess.’ she questioned herself,

She grabbed her picnic basket, she opens inside, she takes out her tea flask and some shortbread biscuits. She poured her tea into the flask’s lid cup, the tea smelt great; she then placed her shortbread biscuits onto the saucer. She sipped her tea quietly and ate her biscuits; she enjoyed her tea and the biscuits.

Back at Swan’s village, Kate Swan was in the kitchen preparing the dinner; she was making chicken and rice with vegetables for side dish. John Swan was in living room reading his newspaper, the newspaper headlines say:

    King William’s big moment

It has been 45 years since he was the King of Barlinton of Salgaria and next week is going to be a huge ceremony for his victory of being the important King of all times. King William is having an interview for his victory. They were having their interview inside the castle’s chamber. He and Queen Sophine sat down at their thrones and Miss Staples Rightenous was sitting down on an ordinary chair and at the same time they were taking the interview. She opens her purple handbag, she took out her parchment book and a fancy red quill and now she writes: ‘King William Mallexier and the most beautiful lady Queen Sophine Mallexier, I cannot tell you how lucky I am sitting here with you wonderful and delightful monarchies. So King William how does it feel to be king of this entire kingdom,’ said Miss Rightenous. ‘Well I think it is wonderful, we love all our people, we care for them, protect them, becoming a king was god’s gift but I could not become a better king without my beautiful and loving wife and my wonderful gifted son, they will always be part of my life and as well as my people of Barlinton of Salgaria, they are also important to me and also next week is my son’s birthday,’ he said. ‘Aw! What a great thing to say and happy birthday to your son next week and Queen Sophine, how did you both meet,’ said Miss Righteous. ‘Well it all started when we were young, same age as our son, I met Sophine in my local Corington Park in Barlinton which was near to her castle in Searthorn and her castle is called Viltic. She was sitting at my favourite park bench but she did not seem friendly at first, she thought I was being annoying. Queen Sophine laughed. I told her, ‘nice weather, right’ then she said whatever, then I said would you like a cup of tea and some biscuits, I am kind of hungry, she was thinking that I was going to irritate her, so she thought about it, she said yes okay. I thought from that moment she was going to moan at me but luckily she was really a nice person. So then I went to my horse and got out a picnic basket which was hanging on the left side of my horse. We walked to the willow tree; I laid the picnic blanket onto the ground. I sat down first and then followed by her; I took out the tea flask and some shortbread biscuits. I love the way she sips her drink, it was so wonderful, after she sipped her drink, she gave me those magnificent smile and on our anniversary we always visited the same park, with tea and shortbread biscuits,’ he said. ‘Aw! That is so sweet and how lucky are you my Majesty. So Queen Sophine, what is it like to be in another royal family,’ said Miss Righteous. ‘Well I think it is a wonderful being the Queen of Barlinton of Salgaria, well I was already in a royal family known as Princess Sophine but now I am a Queen of Barlinton of Saglaria and I have to respect, my people and my family. And I want to say William that I am very grateful to being your wife, I solemnly promise, I shall continue to make you happy, I love you so much, you are the greatest gift of my life and I want to say thank you, for being my husband, you and our son is more than enough, and also my people of Barlinton of Salgaria,’ said Queen Sophine. ‘What are your today’s plans?’ she asked them. ‘Well I am going to throw a hug ceremony for my victory, and to tell my people how I became the greatest king of this entire Kingdom but first I want to throw a huge party for my son’s 21st birthday,’ he replied. ‘That is wonderful, okay I shall end our interview and I shall publish them in the Daily Arti’menion newspaper, bye my King and Queen and I hope your son will have an amazing birthday,’ said Miss Righteous. ‘Bye and thank you for interviewing me and my wife and you are also invited to the ceremony and the party.’ King William and Queen Sophine said, Miss Righteous smiled at them and she left.

John Swan had ended his newspaper, he placed the newspaper down onto the dining table, he got out of the chair, he walked towards his favourite armchair and he sat there. Kate Swan finished cleaning the kitchen and she joined him, she sat down onto an ordinary chair. ‘There is a huge ceremony for the King’s victory and he has a son Prince David William Mallexier and will force her to marry their son and we will make them like her,’ said John Swan. ‘As you wish but don’t you think she has the right to find her own,’ said Kate Swan, trying to fight for Ariana. ‘No, I will not let that happen, you got that, and you supposed to be on my side, not that idiot, you understand,’ he shouted. ‘Yes okay, I am sorry… I do have you wish.’ she said,

Kate Swan stood up and went into the kitchen to get a glass of water from the sink, she took a sip from her glass and at the same time, she thought about what John was planning for Ariana. She thought deeply about it, maybe he could be a nice guy. She went back into the living room to where John was, who was still sitting at his armchair. ‘Okay, fine, we will go to this ceremony and we will find her a husband and when she comes home, we will tell her, okay,’ she suggested and agreed with his decision. ‘Good and agreed.’ said John,

At the park Ariana finished her tea and her biscuits, she got up, folded up the picnic blanket and placed it back into the basket along with the flask and then she went back into her market behind her cash till where Stuart stood, serving the customer. ‘Hello my dear and how was the tea and biscuits, you feeling much better,’ asked Stuart. ‘Yes the tea and the biscuits was excellent and I feel great, I just needed to think how to be strong just like my sister and also when I fallen asleep I had that same dream about me seeing my sister for who she was, how she became a princess, when did she get married and then this fairy appeared to me, telling me about my prophecy that I could defeat the evil destructions, I have been wondered why I am having these weird dreams and it does not make any sense, I am actually losing my mind, I don’t know what to do,’ she felt frustrated and annoyed to her mind. ‘Hey, hey, come down, maybe it just a coincidence, why don’t you just occupy your mind, like tidying up the shelves or something.’ he suggested,

Ariana had placed the basket underneath the cash register; she then went to the shelves and making them look nice and tidy. The customer asked Ariana. ‘Where do you keep your newspaper and some flowers? I am seeing my lady friend and today it is her birthday.’ ‘Aw! That is very nice, well the newspaper is besides the flowers and it is at the back of the market. Ariana went to the back, she showed the customer where the newspaper and flowers are kept. ‘Here they are and tell your lady friend that I said happy birthday,’ said Ariana. ‘Thank you so much and I will tell her.’ said the customer,

Ariana continued with cleaning the shelves and now she began to sweep the floor. The sky was almost to sunset, rabbits, squirrels and many other animals were getting ready to go home and some of the animals had started to come out. Ariana was getting ready to go to home but before she was getting ready to go home, she quickly tidied up the shop; Stuart also helped to tidy up the shop. At home Kate Swan was preparing for dinner; she made chicken soup with homemade bread. She placed them onto the dining table, along with orange juice and apple juice. ‘John, the dinner is ready.’ Kate called out,

Ariana came just in time for dinner, she felt really hungry and at the same time she did not feel like staying at her house because of her father but then she felt really hungry, so she sat down on her chair in the same position has she sat down for her breakfast. Kate Swan poured chicken soup into a bowl, she gave two pieces of sliced bread and then she poured orange juice for her. ‘Here you go my dear. So Ariana how was work,’ said Kate Swan. ‘Work was okay,’ she said. ‘Your mother and I planned to go to King William’s ceremony and they have a son. You will stay here and we will go there and you will like him whether you like him or not, understand,’ he shouted. ‘…Okay…father.’ she said with fearful,

Ariana carried on eating her chicken soup, in silence, drank her juice and ate her two sliced bread. They all finished their dinners, Ariana helped to clear the table and John just went back to his armchair and continued reading his newspaper. Ariana felt uncomfortable about what she just been told. ‘Mother, I don’t want to get married… I don’t know what his is like… Please don’t make me,’ she begs as she pleads. ‘I understand that you are just scared but there is nothing you can do, it is time to move on, you have to be strong just like your sister and be strong be like your sister.’ her mother said,

Ariana went straight to her room after she helped her mother to clean up the kitchen, she then sat bolt right up, cried and cried, hoped someday she will find a way to be happy but she felt hopeless, there was nobody to help her, she felt completely alone. She then laid back on to her bed, gazed upon the ceiling, she placed her hand on her head, she still cried then suddenly fell into a deep sleep; Princess Andriana fell to the ground, along with her husband, the fight kept on going, some were defeated, some were injured and some were dead even Lord Vladmir had lost the battle but he was still breathing, then just before Lord Victurm Mythos strike towards his brother, Lord Vladmir Mythos quickly deflected his move, he reached out for his spear, he quickly knocked out his brother with his mighty force, he stood on Lord Victurm Mythos body, pointed his spear at his face, getting ready to fire but then his paused for a second. Lord Victurm grimed, he quickly knocked out his brother just before Lord Vladmir was about to strike him. He then quickly gets onto his feet and he and his mercenaries vanished from the E’yrs. Then again, there was that fairy appeared out of nowhere. The fairy told her that you will have the power to defeat all evils.

The sun had risen from the beautiful blue sky, birds, rabbits and squirrels had come out and explored their habitats. Owls, bats, fireflies and wolves had gone to sleep. Kate Swan had got up from her bed and she gone straight into the bathroom. John Swan woke up, stretched out his body, scratched his back, he then left his bedroom and went into the kitchen to have a glass of water. And Ariana just sat straight sitting against her bed and wonders to herself how does she keep on having these nightmares about her sister, they make it sound so real and that fairy where did she come from and what was she on about.

Knock, knock. There was a knock on the bedroom door. Kate Swan opened it. ‘Good morning my dear, you are okay, are you going to go work today,’ said Kate Swan. ‘I am okay mother, you okay and yes I am going to work today, why you ask,’ she replied. ‘Yes I am okay and thank you, because today I and your father are going out to King William’s big ceremony and we are going to search for your spouse to be, that’s why,’ said Kate Swan. ‘Mother, why do I have to be forced to get married,’ Ariana cried in silence. ‘I understand you are just scared but don’t worry once you seen him, you will like him, like at first I was scared to marry your father but now I am happy now. Okay dear I made some breakfast for you and it is on the dining table.’ said her mother,

Ariana felt alone, there was nobody there to help her, she felt shocked with fear, and she did not know what to do. She slowly combed her hair with a brush and then she tied it into a pony tail, she went out of her room and into the bathroom. She washed her face and her body, she dried her body with her pink towel, she got dressed and then she came out of the bathroom. She sat down at the table with her parents; they were having waffles with strawberry sauce and a glass of orange juice. Everyone has eaten their breakfast. Ariana went into her room to fetch her handbag and she then went out of the house and gone straight to her market. Kate and John had got ready for the ceremony. Kate was wearing a beautiful red dress and she tied her hair into a ponytail and John was wearing a suit, they were making sure they look great for the ceremony. John went to get a painted picture of Ariana, from the wall, Ariana looked beautiful with her lovely pink dress but also she looked sad. John came out of the house first and then followed by Kate Swan.

They both got on their horses, Kate got on her black horse and John got on his brown horse, they now set out to Barlinton of Salgaria of Dragan – Hex Castle and they went through the Cravendellri Forest. The
