WORDS BY LAEA MARSHALL
Dear Sara,
Ever since I can remember, you were always so sensible.
As my older sister, you always kept an eye on me, and helped our parents Sophia*, now 65, and Patrick*, 73, take care of us all.
When our three younger siblings came along, you were like a mother hen – the responsible one.
That’s not to say you weren’t fun, of course.
You’d take me to parties and we’d go horse riding together.
When you got your first car – a Fiat Punto – we’d drive around playing rock music at full blast.
In our early 20s, you and I would go out clubbing and have a great time.
The only difference was, while I battled a hangover the next morning, you’d be up early, getting your revision done.
