KIM MICHELE INGRAM

Kim was born in a small country town in Middletown, Ohio, an unforgettable experience that shaped her strength and character. With its wide open spaces and freedom to explore, it sparked her imagination at an early age. Writing has been something she had always wanted to do but there was never a quiet time with nine siblings. When she became a grandmother she put down the story books and began telling her own stories to her grandchildren. She lives in Virginia, has two sons and five grandchildren. She also loves writing poetry, children's songs and hybridizes tall bearded iris.

I made up this story for my Grandson, Isaiah Johnson at age three, during nap time. After he fell asleep, I typed the story out which was nearly two pages. Each time I told him the story, I added more to it. Isaiah is now almost sixteen years old, and it is still one of his favorite stories.

Dedicated to my grandchildren who listened with eager enthusiasm to my storytelling each night. They are the inspiration within my heart. I have faith that when they become parents, they will carry on the tradition of storytelling.

Dedicated to Phil Johnson and his sons Deonte, Isaiah, Elijah, and Samuel.

Dedicated to Kevin and Delphine Helena Johnson and their daughter,

    Claire Margaux.

Isaiah Emmanuel Johnson, a future author, thank you for all your help and support.
