About this ebook

This book is about the transition of a boy to a man and relates in particular to his penis and the function of it, especially the flap of skin covering the glans, called the foreskin, for many boys this becomes functional at around the age of five and six, and begins to retract over the glans, especially when an erection develops, however reading many forums on the internet and the many queries posted, it's obvious that there or maybe tens of thousands of boys who have trouble developing, many boys even men will suffer some sort of issue with their penis, from medical, to injuries, but very few discuss it with anyone till it maybe to late, I went through quite a few episodes with mine and discuss them in this book, also the treatment that I resorted to, I hope you find this educational in some way, and maybe get a bit of a laugh as well

    A Male Growing Up

    By Manet Legniss

    Biography

This book is about my journey through life and my experience with the development of my genitals, and or for the education of young men, boys in-fact as the earlier they are educated in life the less problems they will suffer in adulthood, most of the information is from my own personal experience, some has also been obtained from forums. Medical books, and other media.

There may be certain elements in this book, which may be depending on the views of certain people or societies, offensive to them

    Introduction

I began this years ago In San Francisco

    What Boys, Men should know.

    About their Penis

How in the 21st century do we as a society, still ignore the basic sex education of the development of a male’s genitals, it’s sinful and cruel for him later in life when he has trouble with his foreskin that’s completely avoidable, if he was educated younger

    .

All baby boys are born with a foreskin, (except in very very rare cases), also known as the prepuce. The flab of skin, covering the head of the penis. (called the Glans,). A choice may be made by those in power, (parent’s or otherwise) to have the foreskin removed through surgery

Circumcision and done properly the boy should have no real problems later in life.

How-ever for the majority of the population, this surgery is avoided, and should never really be necessary, only in extreme cases, but there may be a case for encouraging it for a variety of reasons, in particular, protection against, AIDS, Cancer, and other s.t.ds diseases, and even normal infections, complications, U.T.I etc

Over the years my curiosity with this procedure/operation intrigued me, the evolution of it over the centuries.

How it may have all evolved, it has been practiced for thousands of years, it has it bases in religion, tribes, cultures, worldwide. it’s mentioned in the Bible, depicted on ancient walls etc.

Would it, could it, have even been practised by cave men themselves, but they wouldn’t have possessed any sharp instruments then would they?, but even in later years, using a sharp piece of flint must have been pretty painful, to say the least, many tribes today still use pretty blunt and ancient tools, yet in the modern society, new instruments are designed regularly, probably one of the few areas of the body where there seems to be a continuous need to improve, and simplify, circumcision, and generally used on-mass in Africa or the likes.

From my experience of my transition from childhood through puberty to adulthood, I could form a picture as weird as it might sound as to how it may have evolved and practised in the stoneage, (caveman).

The very first humans were naked, and more than likely survived on vegetation, it’s more than likely the discovery of rotting animal carcasses, and the bones, which gave them ability to fashion tools. Knives from certain bones etc, it would have taken some doing, to not only kill animals but to remove hides as well, for covering/clothing, so there had to be maybe years upon years before all this was possible, not forgetting, these men had to grow up first. (the chicken and the egg question).

Each man just as in today’s world, would have been different in stature, build etc, the same with their genitals, some would be larger than others, some with different types of foreskin and maybe even the odd one born without one. So which might be regarded as the norm, same question could be asked today, it’s a bit like some people born with two sets of genitals.

I noticed growing up that you could put many different variations to the genitals of the boys who I went to school with some were either big, short, or thin, (penises), some thick and short, others thick and long, or short and thin (which I unfortunately fell into) or long and thin, some foreskins overhung, by more than an inch, more than half an inch, less than half an inch, and about a quarter of an inch, which I was.

Given the fact that for many who’s foreskins were to retract normally the more length on the overhang, the greater the difficulty might be, (which if difficulty did arise would create painful erections throughout life
