    Clinching Career

We are naturally born with our hands clinched. Since people normally work with their hands to make a living, clinched hands thus signify that you came out of your mother's womb clasping the gift of the work you should do in your lifetime.

You were given birth clenching purpose in one hand and talent in the other. Purpose plus talent equals work or career. Therefore your career was tagged on you from the day you were born.

In different words, you came into this world with the blessing of a certain purpose and talent wired in your DNA. The career is your gift you were blessed with to make a living from.

You were never born with clenched fists for the sake of it just as you were not given life for the fun of it. Not even one person was put on earth by God for the mere reason of increasing the human numbers and then have precious little else to do.

God loves you and made a wonderful plan for you from birth. He deliberately made you for a particular something to undertake in this world. One person's purpose may be different from the next person's purpose but a purpose each person has.

Even as a woman, you have a purpose and talent to make a living from outside married. You were never blessed with life simply to get married, bear children and that is the end of your story as the lives led by numerous women seem to suggest.

Apart from killing what you were created for through lack of use, you become so dependent for sustenance on your husband that it becomes well-neigh impossible for you to walk away from a brutal marriage.

As a family counsellor, I have attended to sad cases of wives who suffered horrendous abuse at the hands of their husbands but could not break away because they were financially tied to their husbands.

The women had no idea of how they would look after themselves away from the clutches of their abusive husbands.

One of the stand out cases was of a girl that got pregnant and married at the age of 17 to try to escape the poverty at her home. She was totally reliant on her abusive husband for her living.

Orphaned at 13,  she dropped out of school as her married sister who took her in could not afford to keep her in school.

The husband had absolutely no regard for her. He came home drunk with one girl friend after another tugged on his arm.

With her baby strapped on her back, the girl would leave the single room they lodged, go to the communal bathroom where she would sit and find solace in weeping while waiting for her husband to get done with entertaining his girlfriends.

He often beat her up for flimsy reasons such as failing to open the door for him immediately after his knock when he came home in the middle of the night.

With her and their child tied to him financially, she just could not imagine life without him.

No one need place their lives in someone's hands like that. Sitting in the dark for too long surely makes one become accustomed to the dark. It means being in an abnormal situation for too long makes one accept the situation as normal.

If only you could do what you were created for then you would not place your life in the rough hands of another human being for survival like that but only in the hands of a caring and loving God.

The woman of a noble character in Proverbs 31:10-31 is multi-talented. She is a tailor, manufacturer, real-estate, agriculture, home and financial manager who cares well for her family. Would such attributes place her in someone's hands for her financial well-being? Hardly.

While these traits are not template for every woman they marshal the fact that as a woman you too were born clenching something to do in life.

Purpose is what something is used for. A chair, for example, is manufactured to be sat on. A pen is designed for writing and a bed to be slept on.

Similarly, you were purposely created for a particular pursuit. Your purpose or mission in life is what you were given life for.

If you had not been blessed with purpose then you would not have been given life. God would not have brought you into this world if He had had nothing for you to do. It is that plain.

The pregnancy that gave birth to you may have been planned or not, that is of no matter. It might even have been a result of an unpleasant experience such as rape, but that too is of no matter. No birth took God by surprise. No one is alive by mistake.

The Creator deliberately made everyone, knows too well every single person alive and to every individual He gave a something to pursue in life. God foreknew that you would be living today and He bestowed you with a mission to do in the life He gave you.

Failure to use the purpose you were created for is in a way insinuating that God creates some people who are useless.

God does not create nobodies. He did not create anyone to drift along like a paper blown by the wind with no purpose and without knowing where they are going in life.

He gives people life for a purpose but does not force people to employ their purpose. Freewill is one of the greatest gifts heaven gave to humankind. You are free to use or not to what God gave you. The onus is on you to undertake what you were given life for.

Purpose tells you what to do and what not to do. It is not everything that people do that is for you to do as well. That means you do not pursue whatever you fancy. You do not just copy what other people around you are doing or whatever someone tells you to do. But you go after your own special reason that you were specially formed and placed on this earth for.

Follow that laid out thing that you are meant to be so that you waste not your life on things that are not up your road. You have to be aware of who you are, your station, your mission in life.

A purpose is usually employed to be an answer to people's problems, to make a difference in people's lives and
