In 2010, I lost over $100,000 in forex trading; funds from friends who wanted to earn from the forex market. That loss brought a lot of troubles in my life, as my friends vowed I must pay back.

Chapter 1: Search for the Seed of Good in Every Adversity!

Tunde was the first child of his parents. Having suffered from poliomyelitis (...an infectious disease, caused by a virus, that affects the central nervous system and can cause temporary or permanent paralysis) as a child he had enormous challenges growing up. However, with the support of his loving parents he was able to muster courage to go to school and build a desire to be successful within him. His plan was to become an accountant. He ate, talked and slept with the idea.

However, the unfortunate happened. Towards the end of his secondary school education he lost his parents in a rather mysterious way. Consequently, that dream was prematurely quashed. That door was closed.

But thank God that is not the end of the story.

It’s always said that as long as there is life there is hope. If one door closes there will always be other doors that open if we look well.

With his siblings to look after Tunde had no option than to forfeit his secondary education and learn a trade. But as an invalid as well there was little or no chance for him in most of the very active trades and merchandising.

To so many, this junction would be the end of the story. In our society we find even people with lesser situations giving up on life and resorting to begging, dependency or much more devalued living. But that was not the case with Tunde.

With a desire to make the best out of life, Tunde proceeded to learn the art of shoemaking!
