Introduction

The definition for the word born is to be brought into existence or being. It also relates to a person who has been given from birth a particular quality or trait or talent. Now the definition of the word winner is simply a person who wins despite their circumstances. In other words, a born winner is a person who is equipped from birth with the necessary tools that he or she needs to get the job done.

A born winner is the type of individual who is tenacious and persistent, regardless what comes their way. They will not take no for an answer when it comes to fulfilling their aspirations. I believe that everyone has what it takes to be a born winner, but it’s up to you to discover what is hidden within you.

I have written this book to guide you to unearth and to maximize your full potential so that you can reach for the stars or, for that matter, to sit on the clouds. For I entrust that God wired each and every person with what it takes to accomplish their dreams—as well as their purpose. This book is not just another manual on how to make it in life, but it’s designed to assist you to realize your potential.

Life Is A Gift, So Unwrap It!

Life is a gift that comes from God. You did not ask to be here but Guess what! you are here; so make the best of it. When you think of the word life, you think of vigor, enthusiasm, vitality and movement. Life is meant to be active because it’s based on energy. Anything that is energetic is vibrant and moving, for life is meant to be exciting and dynamic. In other words, it’s a motion picture, just like a movie. If you take the i out of movie, you get the word move. Your life is kinetic, it’s movement, it’s progressive—which is the reason why the past is called the past, because life is about forward movement. Your life deals with past, present, and future events that take form in your experiences.

When you understand that life is precious, you won’t waste your time holding onto your past. You will learn to live in the present, because the present is a gift, and you will expect better in your future. What you plan for today will shape your tomorrow, and your tomorrow will end up becoming your present’s gift of the seeds you plant. Eventually, it will produce a bountiful harvest of goods. You must realize that you were born to think and to plan and to act. These vital components were embedded to help you to move forward in your life. Later on, within the chapters of this book, I am going to address acting on your plans and setting goals to achieve.

It is a must to realize that every day you wake up in the morning is a blessing and an opportunity for you to express yourself on this planet. When you understand that you exist to play a part in this world, your life will begin to have meaning. It doesn’t matter what gender or ethnicity you are, or what cultural background you came from. All that matters is that you were created to add to life and to fit the puzzle of your purpose. For every layout, there is a piece that fits the right slot and completes the puzzle, and you are that piece.

Your life is a gift given to you freely, but what you do with it is your gift back to God and to the world. All the great creative people that made an impact with their life understood that, and they made a difference. Whether it be a Steve Jobs, a Bill Gates, a T.D. Jakes, a Martin Luther King, Jr., or a Nelson Mandela, the truth of the matter is that they all valued their life. These great men revolutionize the world with their gifts and their abilities because they used their potential. And guess what! If they did it, so can you.
