God puts you here for a reason. You are destined for a destiny. You are assigned for an assignment. God has a purpose in mind while creating you. You are not a purposeless entity! There is a REASON for you. There is a reason you look the way you look. There is a reason you talk the way you talk. There is a reason you act the way you act. You are customized and wired with peculiarity to fit in into God’s given destiny.

You are not a mishap. You are not an accidental occurrence! God planned your life in advance. He selected your colour, your race, your background, and your experiences to align you with your destiny. You are programmed for a purpose!

A fish is designed to swim.

A bird is designed to fly.

A clock is designed to measure time.

You are designed for a destiny.

What is destiny?

Destiny can be defined as God’s intended meaning for a specific life. The purpose for a product is the product’s destiny.

Put specifically, your destiny is your life assignment. It’s the reason you were born. It’s what you were born to do. Put generally; it’s the life you were born to touch. The books you were born to write. The songs you were born to sing. The products you were born to invent. The discoveries you were born to make. The problems you were born to solve. The sayings you were born to make. The paradigms you were born to shift.

That is why, you are uniquely unique. You are differently different. In the word of the Old Testament Author, King David You are fearfully and wonderfully made. You have no duplicate. You are similarly different from everybody alive. Your kind has never been. They will never be. When God finished creating you He threw the mold away. That is why nobody has your exact finger prints.

God gives you talents, potentials, gifts, passions as tools to accomplish your destiny on earth

Your Destiny Serves Three Purposes

Your Destiny will bless you.

Nobody is designed to be happy with who is not. You will only be happy with who are meant to be. So knowing your destiny will bless you. You will be fulfilled and satisfied knowing that you are living a life you are destined to live.

It opens the world of possibilities you never knew existed. It gives your passion a direction. It will expand your self-awareness. It changes your focus. It brings your gifts, talents and potential to life. Life becomes meaningful. You become excited with living! When you go to bed at night, you are filled with gratitude for the opportunity life has offered you and you expectantly look forward to the next day. You will no longer be bored! You become a role model to others. Others will look at you and admire your uniquely. You are no longer a copycat! You have found a purpose and meaning in life!

You will begin to spend your time with people, activities and in the environment that appeal to your destiny. Life becomes different when its purpose is found.

I heard a story of a man who was 73years when asked by a reporter how old was he, to which the man replied, I’m three years old’ the reporter protested ‘ that can’t be’ the elderly man replied ‘ Chronologically, I am 73years old, but it was 3years ago I discovered the reason I was born. That is the reason I said, ‘I am 3-year-old. I have wasted 70years!’

Your destiny will bless humanity.

Your destiny serves others. In fact, God destined you to bless others. You are a blessing. That is the purpose of living. Look at the story of Joseph in the Bible, his destiny saved his whole family from dying in a famine and also saved the whole nation of Egypt. He blessed humanity. Many people would have died if not for Joseph.

Today, spiritual, social, political, economic and technological advancement have been made in the world by men and women who found out why they were born. Many thanks to our Visionaries, Pastors, Missionaries, Pioneers, Writers, Poets, Sculptors, Engineers, Inventors and many others who have left behind them landmark contributions to the progress and advancement of humanity. They lived meaningfully. The world is waiting to taste of the greatness of your destiny. It’s waiting to dance to rhythm of your music. Through your destiny, you will bless the world.

Your Destiny will glorify God.

If at the end of it, God’s name is not glorified, it’s not fit to be called a destiny. God will not give you a destiny that dishonors His name. Your life can’t be promoting drugs, whoredom, and other vices, and you say that is your destiny! No matter how popular you are, how rich you are or how satisfied you think you are, if the name of God is not glorified through your life, you are not fulfilling destiny. At most, you are abusing destiny. Ultimately, your destiny will point others to the love, the mercy and the greatness of God.

So how do you know what your destiny is? You ask the three questions below:

Am I really blessed doing this?

Are lives impacted positively through this?

Is the name of the Lord glorified through this?

Four Levels of Destiny’s Awareness

There are four categories of men living on the surface of the earth. No matter where you go, you will find this category of men whether in London, Japan, India, Canada or Nigeria where I currently live. These kinds of men will be found within the four levels of destiny awareness I classify below:
