Foreword

Ihave come to understand that you do not need to be 60 years old to draw insight from life. Hell, people are dying before turning 35, so why wait when life is so unpredictable. This amateur’s guide is exactly that, for us amateurs who are considered not yet experienced enough in life and just looking for information to help us live a fuller and fulfilling life. I mostly wrote this for myself to be honest; consolidating what I have observed, learned, and concluded as I went through different seasons in my life.

Introduction

Our internal and most persistent quest is to be happy and have a life that is rewarding and fulfilling. There are many things that we have sought to get that satisfaction; marriage, kids, money, sex, relationships, careers, material possessions, etc. and the list goes on and on. It is quite interesting to note that fulfillment is a combination of quite a lot of factors playing out together and not necessarily having one thing. Things that bring about fulfillment are also quite subjective; one person might totally love painting and living in a studio apartment in Paris, spending their days travelling around France, capturing the most beautiful nature scenes on a canvas, whereas another person might find that life boring and unfulfilling.

Even in the face of subjectivity in this regard, there are basics, or rather a skeleton one can build from to live their life and acquire fulfillment capital from. Join me in exploring what I have found to be an ‘amateur’s guide’ to help you to build
