Yoga Kundalini Opprobrium

About this ebook
This book is a considered thesis on YOGA-KUNDALINI opprobrium. Some critical facets of KUNDALINI raising are discussed in detail. It is a revelation that the 8-step Yoga is only a prepation to approach KUNDALINI. KUNDALINI raising from MOOLADHARA to SAHASRARA SHIVA depends solely on the SADHAKA who reached the 8th step SAMADHI and immersed himself in KUNDALINI SHAKTHI. ASHTANGA YOG is the chaff, KUNDALINI SHAKTHI is the grain.

YOGA - KUNDALINI OPPROBRIUM
PREFACE
I address this book to the seekers of YOGA and the last chapter to the propagators of Yoga. I humbly salute the Masters of yore, who not only authored but also practised the prescribed precepts and attained SIDDHI without any fanfare untraced and unannounced. Yoga Sastra is not an evangelical concept - a mass movement. Yoga is for the select few , who take up Yoga and its accompanying worldly losses in the same breath and eschew worldly glory to reach the presence of the Universal Soul— ‘PARAMATMA’. The position of a Yogi is the privilege of a few who choose to lead a life of anonymity and obscurity to the world, but ever in the effervescent glow of the Universal Soul— PARAMATMA . But anybody can propagate Yoga Sastra by showing the technique, explaining its precepts in public meetings, and by print and electronic media. But these propagators of Yoga are pretending as Yogis which they are not. Propagating Yoga Sastra is their business. But posing as Yogis is their crime. The last chapter of this book is a specific request to these propagators of Yoga ! I request the reader to read this writing completely and reach his studied conclusion on Yoga, not on my book !

Chapter 1 : WELCOME
Welcome to the world of Yoga— considered the supreme and the highest area of ‘knowledge’ (‘Vidya’). All of us in India know something or other about Yoga. We grow in Yoga miracles. Day in and day out the neighbours, our family members, the media hound us with miracles by some one or other who practised Yoga and attained ‘supernatural’ powers. When we read the religious texts we come across SIDDHAS who had supernatural powers— who lit lamps with water not with oil ! etc. In India we see all kinds of Yogis— rich and poor, ostentatious and simple. If a Yogi has extensive entourage we say that as his powers remove troubles, the people are flocking to him ! If a Yogi goes alone unattended, we say that he is a simple soul interested only in ‘MUKTI’ (Liberation) and immune to ‘DWANDWA’ i.e. pleasure and pain— he takes both in the same spirit. We hear about Yogis flying in air, walking on water, moving mountains from place to place with the same ease, nay more easily, than we travel in aeroplanes, by ship and move a piece of furniture from one corner of the room to another corner. The aphrodisiac effects of Yoga, its nectar giving postures, long and everlasting life to
