About this ebook

We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us. Those were the thoughts of two groups of friends who were successful in each of their chosen professions when they decide to embark on a 10-day cruise. However, the cruise turns out to be more than just a sail-abration when secrets are revealed, and Cupid is playing the background

Courtney and Marlon seem to have this bond where they can't stay away from each other. They try to keep their friendship platonic to respect the relationships they have with their partners, but what happens when the main and the side start swapping places.

Adrian and Delon have no problem with just being vacation baes, or so they thought. When the heart wants what it wants, the brain will never win.

Heidi and Keno seem to be polar opposites, but yet so much alike. They matched each other's fly and grind, yet they fought the inevitable. Heidi was the soft spot that tamed his wildness while Keon was the protector she didn't know she needed.

Tianna and Jakkar appear to not have a care in the world and were living life on the edge. However, their decisions come back in a major way and left them wondering if they will be able to bounce back.

Luvin' a Virginia Street King - Toy

    1

    Heidi

Iwas sitting in my office tired as hell, but I couldn’t leave until these numbers evened out. This had to be the fifteenth time I'd gone over the numbers from the night, and I was still two thousand dollars uneven. This shit wasn’t making any sense. I had to figure out what the hell was going on.

There was a knock at the door, which I ignored. The door opened, and in walked another pain in my ass.

Boss lady, you still in here looking at those books? I was about to lock up, but I saw your light on. It's almost five in the morning, just take the books home with you. I'm saying, the numbers are the same here and there, Juggles said.

I want to make sure this is right. I can't sleep if it's not right. You can go ahead and lock up, I'll be fine. Are all the girls and the DJ gone? I asked her.

Yup, everything is cleaned. Today is checkup day, so all the girls know not to come to work if their paperwork isn’t right. I think Strawberry’s pregnant, but you know how these young girls are. She's trying to hide the shit. She was throwing up most of the night, she told me.

These girls need to learn how to be more responsible if they’re gonna be out here fucking every dick they see. Send her ass a text and tell her to bring a pregnancy test when she comes in. If she doesn’t have it, she might as well stay her ass home, I told her.

Okay. Are you sure you don’t need any company? You looking stressed over there? she asked with a dumb ass grin on her face.

I knew she was hinting at us messing around again. No, I’m not batting for the same team, I was just a little curious. I tried it a couple of times, but it's not for me. She just didn’t understand that it wasn’t anything permanent.

No, I don’t. I keep telling you that whatever happened those two times were just that. Some shit that's in the past and never gonna happen again. You come at me one more time, and your ass is gonna be on the other side of that door permanently. I paused to see if what I was saying had sunk in yet.

When I could tell that it hadn’t, I kept talking. Now when you walk out of here, we need to have an understanding. If I offer you a taste of my pussy, then you take it. Until then, your face was just something I wanted to test ride. The ride is over now. If you don’t understand that, then I can shoot you now so I won't have to have this conversation again. I hate repeating myself. Are we clear or not? I asked her.

I hated being so harsh with her, but she was one of those aggressive lesbians. She was okay at first, but after that first time, she’d been going hard trying to get me to go another round.

Yeah, I got it, she said before slamming my damn door.

If y'all haven't figured it out yet, I own two strip clubs in Newport News, VA. Yes, I'm the only woman owner in the seven cities. We call the Hampton Roads Area of Virginia the seven cities. My city is about an hour away from Virginia Beach, if y'all need to picture shit in ya head. I'm thirty-two years old, and my name is Heidi Schaffer.

I know you're wondering what the hell the deal is with Juggles and me. She's the manager of my main strip club. She used to be a stripper back when I was working the pole and going to Hampton University. When I took over, I knew that she knew her shit, so she got the position.

A couple of months ago we were at the club after it closed going over some paperwork. I pulled out a fifth of Hennessy, and we started taking shots. By the time we were done, the bottle was empty, and her face was between my legs. I had never done no shit like that before. She caught my ass at the right time because we left there, and she showed me a few more tricks at her place. I guess she felt like she turned me out because ever since, she's been trying to get her mouth on my pussy again. She was gonna fuck around and end up in the hospital if she kept on coming at me like she was doing now.

My phone rang, and it was one of my best friends, so I had to answer. One of them always called to see if I got home okay after the clubs closed.

    Hello, I answered.

You're still at the club, aren't you, Adrian asked me. I could tell by her tone that her face was balled up, and she was about to get hood on my ass.

Yes, and I'm tired as hell, I told her.

Help me understand why you have a manager. Her ass ain't there looking at the books. That’s what the fuck a manager is for. Am I right or am I right? You keep letting her get away with not doing her job, and she’s gonna turn into a problem later on, she fussed.

Adrian I'm not in the mood for all that right now. She's not doing the books because somethings not adding up, I revealed.

Don’t tell me that bitch is trying to be a low-budget Ronnie from Players Club and she's stealing? she said.

I don’t know if it's her or not. There's definitely something going on though.

Oh, bitch, please. That bitch was trying to make you her girlfriend and everyday Lean Cuisine. We all know that, so don’t try to stick and move around the issue. She knows you’re not fully turned out yet, so she’s gonna steal ya money and find it. Acting like a damn crackhead. You know they're the only ones whowill steal your shit and help your ass look for it. She laughed, I had to laugh with her because she was telling the truth.

What is your day looking like? I asked.

Don’t try to change the damn subject, skank. I have two showings to do, and I have to meet with this guy about a new construction that's supposed to start while we’re gone. You need to get your ass up and go home. You'll be able the think better with a clear head. You need to catch that sticky fingered, bad pussy eating ass bitch before we fly out because you're not gonna be with us all worried about them damn clubs. We will be on vacation, bitch, and you're gonna act like it if I have to make you. I gotta go. I'll call you in a little while. Get up and go home, Heidi Anna Schaffer, she demanded.

I’m about to. Have a great day, girlie, I told her before ending the call.

I packed up everything and headed out to go home. I had to stop and get something to eat because as tired as I was, cooking was way out of the picture. I pulled up to the Chic-Fil-A, and of course, the motherfucker was packed as usual. I didn’t feel like sitting in the drive-thru and going to sleep, so I went in. It was still packed in there, but it wasn’t as bad as the drive-thru.

When I walked in, I saw two guys standing by the door. They were sexy as hell, but the way my mood was set up, I would have to run into them on a better day. As I walked past, they stopped their conversation. As I stood in the line, I could feel eyes on me, but I wasn’t about to look and see who it was. It would be just my luck that some old perverted man was looking at me instead of one of the guys I saw walking in.

How are you? What can I get for you today? the chick at the register asked. I could tell by the way she was rolling her damn eyes that this wasn’t gonna go well.

Can I get a number one with cheese? Make it a large with half sweet tea and half lemonade for my drink, please, I asked as politely as I could.

Will that be all? she asked.

    Yeah, that's it, I said.

Her eyes looked up behind me.

Excuse me, you look exhausted and in need of a foot rub after your bubble bath. Since I can't be there to make sure that happens, would you do me the honor of allowing me to pay for your meal? I'm not trying to disrespect you or anything. You just look like you need some sunshine in your world this morning, he told me.

Everyone in the restaurant paused what they were doing to see what my answer would be. Well, at least it felt like they did. Even though I wanted to be a bitch, I just couldn’t. Not with him standing there all tatted up, with that sexy ass smile at me, and those damn hands. This nigga was nothing but trouble. He was the type of trouble that felt good, I bet.

Yes, you can do that. Thank you, I said with a school girl smile on my face.

No need to say thank you. The pleasure is damn sure all mine, beautiful. If you don’t mind, can you please tell me your name? That way, I know what name to call out in my dreams, he said with that damn smile.

Real smooth. I'm Heidi, I said and held out my hand for him to shake.

Unique name for a uniquely beautiful woman. I'm Keno, by the way, he said.

Um, Ms. Hannah can you step to the side so I can help the next guest? the rude ass cashier said.

It was stupid that I still had to deal with bitches like her. How the hell you gonna be mad at me because this sexy mother fucker is pushing up on me? I’m mixed, but a lot of people assumed that I was a white girl. The only thing white about me was my mother. I was raised in downtown Newport News which a lot of people called ‘little New York.’ Her ass could miss me with her bullshit ass attitude. Just when I was about to get this bitch in order, he leaned over and whispered in my ear.

My fucking name isn’t Hannah, bitch, I said, letting her know that I caught the fucked up shade she tried to throw.

Don’t let her five twenty-five an hour ass make you act out in here. You're already stressed and tired, just get your food and waltz your gorgeous ass out of here. Leave her here to be miserable as fuck just like she is now, he said with a kiss to the base of my neck.

My ass had to be hypnotized or something because I didn’t say a word to that hoe. I just walked my ass to the side while he placed his order and paid for our food. When the food was up, he grabbed the bags and walked me to my car.

You don’t have to walk me to my car. I'm sure you have somewhere to be, I said.

He acted as if he didn’t hear me. When we got to the car, he opened the door for me. Once I was in and had the car started, he closed the door.

Make sure you go straight home and get some rest, beautiful, he told me.

    Thank you, Keno, said.

He licked his lips like he was thinking something extremely nasty before he gave me a head nod and walked away from the car. I don’t know who he was or where he came from, but I was damn sure glad I didn’t go to Burger King.
