Have you ever found yourself lost? No, I’m not talking like lost in a conversation because you’re the new person or you don’t get the inside joke. Nor am I talking lost as lost in the sense of location, and needing to find your grid location and shoot your azimuth in order to find your way out of the woods. I’m talking mentally and emotionally lost. A state of being where you just don’t know what to feel or how to feel or even how to explain it. But not because you don’t know how to assess situations and your own feelings, but rather because there is just nothing there to feel. Simply, just nothing. And even though you feel nothing at all, it is the heaviest feeling you know. Why? Because you instinctively get caught up in attempting to figure out why you feel nothing. Do you want to know something fascinating? Sometimes you can tell when you start to board this plane and it becomes a slow flight that you cannot eject yourself off of. But at other times, it just hits you. Almost like someone snuck up behind you, blindfolded and handcuffed you so you could not fight, knocked you out, put you on a jet and you woke up in a different part of the world. And you know what’s crazy about that? You only drive yourself deeper into the pits of craziness and nothingness. You literally are swimming in nothingness. How can that even be possible?
