And we all thought one dinosaur was bad enough

Cindy sat very still, unable to inhale or eat. Excited, nervous, and at the same time just trying her level best to stay cool.

Gilly's was the best restaurant in town, and Cindy had never eaten there until tonight. Her plate of angel hair pasta with marinara and three tiny meatballs remained untouched. The one thing rumbling about in her stomach was the salad of fresh romaine with homemade croutons, the best cucumbers and tomatoes ever, and a wonderful Italian dressing that had a zing to it.

She wore a satin purple dress with a sexy slit up the right thigh, with a pair of black ankle boots and gold and amethyst hoop earrings. Her blond hair was tied up in a French knot that took longer to put together than she cared to think about.

The corner table in the far back offered a lot of privacy. The bench curved with the wall, and Cindy was trapped between her boss Rex Monahan and the HR lady, Millie Samson. Next to Millie, almost directly across from Rex, sat Billy Jared Benson. Or BJB, as he liked to be called and was printed in gold embossing on his business card.

Billy could've almost been Rex's twin. Tall, dark, too handsome for his own good. He wore a dark brown pinstripe suit with shiny black wingtip shoes, a white dress shirt, and a bright pink argyle necktie. Somehow he made that work—conservative enough to be taken seriously, with enough a splash of color to make Cindy wonder about his sexual preference.

Sort of.

The way he kept ogling Millie, both with his eyes and the tips of his fingers, Billy was definitely straight. Metrosexual, but straight. She felt sorry for Millie, the way Billy tapped and rubbed her breast until the nipple poked out of her light blue cardigan. Every so often he reached across her shoulders and offer Rex a high-five just above Cindy's head. She had no doubt when Billy's hands were underneath the table, he was reaching up Millie's skirt.
