- Domestication of parrots and tropical songbirds, intensive breeding by members of bird breeding associations, have led to the spread of parrot virus and Chlamydia pneumonia in society. Smoking is dangerous but more dangerous in the Netherlands, Belgium and the UK. Netherlands has the highest lung cancer death rates in the world while being smoked more in the US and Japan.

- Domestication of mammals, the artificial insemination of cows, pigs, goats and rabbits, and the laying batteries of poultry have led to the spread of bovine and avian leukemia viruses through the food chain. Breast, colon, prostate and lung cancer are the number one cause of death in Western Europe and the US.

- Inferior meat production is increasingly the cause of dead coastal waters, desertification and global warming.
